Is it possible? I have a jet pack oriented Tau army with a lot of stealths and suits and such. For friendly games I wanna use FWs as Jump Infantry to fly along with my stealths.

Basically I want to know if a Space Marine Jump Pack could fit on a Fire Warrior's back. I don't mind converting (but not too much), and could someone make a tutorial if they know how?

I don't know it sounds pretty difficult unless you have like glue but that's a pretty advanced modeling supply man I just dunno

Oh yea for sure I do have glue, but how hard would it be just to glue it on? Does it even fit (not perfectly)?

How would this fit with the fluff? I don't really see Tau using any Imperium technology.

I'm not trying to fit this with the fluff. I just want to model something cool. If you really care I could just say 'it's a schismatic cadre of Fire Warriors that were isolated from the Empire and began to utilize whatever they could, including Human technology, to survive and eliminate anyone foolish enough to obstruct their path".

I think the jump packs would look a little to big on a fire warrior.

If you didn't place the standard backpacks on the tau firewarriors they would fit nicely into the hole in the jump pack, with a little customizing and some glue they should hold just nicely.

And yes, they could be counts as stealth suits in that case.

Thanks! Personally, I think fire warriors would look cool with huge jet packs on them suicide jumping into a musket-line formation to outflank the enemy

Jet Packs would be closer to the Tau Doctrine.

I think they will fit just fine. If you like the way it looks, then don't take no guff from those savages, just model it the way you want. And I've got no problem with them being 'counts-as' models (since they will obviously look WAY different).

The aesthetics don't match at all and given the Tau's advanced technology there's no reason for them to loot Imperial jump packs. But whatever, they're your models and it's your money. Do what you want.

What about using the jet packs from the old metal stealth suits. They would be approperate size and keep with the Tau design philosophy.

York/London(for weekends) oh for the glory of the british rail industry

The model would look very top heavy, due to the differences between marines and fire warriors.

To be honest, I think it would look like "Little Timmy's first conversion"

The aesthetic of the two components do not match at all.

While I can see the concept you're going for, a marine jump pack is not going to work.

As has been stated, your best bet is using the packs from stealth suits.

This.

Or just build your own out of spares from the Battlesuits. No-one ever uses the Burst Cannons and I'm sure you can make something appropriate out of that.

Hasslefree miniatures has some cool jump packs that would better fit the Tau look. They would be easy to attach as well.

To all the people saying that Tau technology is WAY WAY TOO ADVANCED for them to ever bother dicking around with Imperium technology; where do you think they 'acquired' their warp travel technology? Protip: They didn't invent it themselves
