Hey everbody! I've been lurking around for a while now and stalking the 40k bat reps section. Well now I've decided to get into 40K and figured I might as well create an account then! Don't know how quickly I'll build an army though since I'm a poor college kid. Look forward to learning more about the game!

From one poor college kid to another, you will have to learn patience. Research each army, see if you like them for how they look or playing style, and buy stuff one thing at a time. it will be awhile, but you'll be able to get an army soon enough. Welcome to dakka!

Mmmmmm yes. Its funny you say that because then in your signature you have Necrons (which I think are really cool) and a 500 pt army (the same size I'm gunning for with probably Tau as my thread in the Army lists section is turning out!) It's great to see there are other college kids out there just getting into it! I'm hoping to get a job at a local hobby shop too so hopefully discounts! Or at least an income during school...
