Yeah, so as you can guess from my nick, I'm a CSM player, yet things didn't turn out as I though they would, and Know I'm thinking about moving forward to something that fits me better. So here's the things that I like in an army:

1-Big scary looks. In w40k, the only armies that I dont like the look are the IG, Tau and Tyranids.

2- I like units that can take damage and still keep going.

3- I tend to prefer close combat, but not to the point of being completly useless in ranged.

4- I prefer medium units to small or large ones.

5-I really hate units that always have to rely on transport vehicule to survive (because then you have to pay for the soldiers, then for the vehicule)

6- I don't have a large amount of cash (damn university cost so much in time and money! I need money to go to university, but I need time to work to earn money, but I also need time to studie. God Bless banks, without mine I couldn't even dream to study without the cash I was forced to ask them).

7-I like HQ choice that can survive well and deal a good amount of damage.

8-I like armies that have a good LD.

9- I like army that offer lot of choices when making a list. And by choices, I mean good ones. I don't like it when there's only 10% of the codex that lead to a good army, and the rest is only good in non-competitive.

So what army do you think fit my preferences?

Hmmm. Have you thought of..... Regular Marines?
I mean it would be awesome if you did a brother vs brother chapter war. just saying.
But really matters what you like.
Dark Eldar for fast killer people
Necrons slow but effective.
tau, good but not the best.
tyranids don't even try
space wolves (don't play unless you want to be made fun of.)
Blood Angels same deal.
Vanilla marines great.
Grey Knights nope.
Guardsmen awesome.
ORKS! I recommend them. Best army ever sadly 0 orks in my army I always have loved them but never found the money to purchase them.
Eldar Do not play them unless you are a pro.
Chaos Daemons good and not broken, lot of fun to play apparently just have to be very good at placements.

descent of angels list for Blood angels or flesh tearers?
Deep striking terminators for dark angels or grey knights?

Peace is an individual conquest; it has never been a deed of the masses.

mmm. Seem to closaing in with Regular SM, Blood Angels and Dark Angels. Tell me more about these descent of angels and Deep striking terminators for Dark Angels. I thought for a time to go GK, but there is already enought GK players for me out there (and their codex is to much overpowered in my opinion).

Go into a gw put on a blindfold and throw a dart at their battleforce section. Whichever one you hit you buy.

And don't worry if you stick a employee, no one likes them anyway.

Dude. You are describing Daemons.

Monstrous creatures. Unstoppable hordes that need no transport.

Check daemons out. I think you'll love it.

Deamons could be interesting, but their troops seems like punching bags. Are they really effectives?

yeah they are. Collect 500 points of them and compare them to a vanilla marine 500 pts army and see what happens.

It sounds to me like you want Space Wolves, which are sort of "what Chaos should be".

Loganwing armies can actually field units that are not mounted in transports. Loganwing is also the low-model-count approach to Space Wolves.

On the other hand, Loganwing is primarily a shooty army that is reasonably capable in HtH. The fighty Space Wolf armies tend to include Thunderwolf cavalry. Those tend to be expensive conversions - or, frankly, crappy conversions.

Maybe Blood Angels are a better bet, they're definitely a fighty chapter. If you've got a shooty BA army, you're doing it wrong. They don't completely suck at shooting, but other marines do that better and what the heck are Feel No Pain and Furious Charge for anyway?
