When I was hunting for Monolith parts on eBay a few months back, I came across one built almost completely from Legos. Not that it really resembled a Monolith...it was more a simple black pyramid with a toy gun glued to the top. Unfortunately it is no longer listed, but you can use your imagination.

Save a few positive comments, this is an extremely distasteful thread... upon opening this I expected laughable images of our own failures. I was eager to join in with my own mishaps because, who doesn't enjoy laughing at themselves? Learning from our failures is an integral part of growing.
Instead it's mostly the flaming of one guy who isn't even represented here? Really? I'm willing to bet most people who are speaking negatively about him haven't even attempted a conversion to this scale. Unless you're posting your own conversion failures (which I've yet to see), there really isn't any room to talk. Actually, looking through most gallery images of those negative Nancy's I don't see any conversions at all, good or bad. At least this guy has the courage to try something new.

1. Trying to pass off Jabba the Hut on a lump of rubbish with wheels as a Nurgle demon prince and then trying to sell him for $200 is more than laughable.
2. I haven't attempted a conversion to this scale because I know I'm not capable, and if I tried I sure as hell wouldn't try to sell it for an outrageous price.
3. This guy is trying to run a business and he fails at the professional services he supposedly offers. It kind of reminds me of those failblog pictures where you see a crappy looking sign that says something like "Bobs epic signs".

I know because I was warned once a few years ago on a similar thread, this really isnt what DAKKA is about fellas. He can have the worst skills on the planet, but that doesnt give us the right to bash him for trying. Same reason I dont ever bash people that want to enter obvious gak into a GD competition, if they want to try, they are allowed to.
Seriously, all the hate in here is a pretty low blow. I bet half of you couldnt do have the stuff hes trying to pull off.  to the lot of you

If the post were titled, "Flaming dude on eBay" then I wouldn't have opened it in the first place and you could continue to flame away without my opinion. If he was the OP or was represented here at all, for that matter, it'd be an entirely different story. Otherwise this is just a one sided burning of some guy trying to make a living.
I'm all for the harsh opinions people feel are justified because they can hide behind their avatars (internet, nice to meet you). Most of the time that type of honest, face slapping, critique is just what people need (after they get past the personal feelings) to get better. It just doesn't do anything productive when the person on the receiving end isn't around to hear them. This is when it turns into Gossip Girl where we just point and giggle about our shared secret.
