Hi all,

Just a quick thought that I had whilst browsing the index page for Imperial Armour Apocalypse: Second Edition.

They seem to have updated most of the Tau units from IA3: Taros Campaign with the notable exception of the Tetra.

Having read IA3 again quite recently it struck me that the Tetra might make a pretty nifty transport option for Pathfinders, a bit like the Landspeeder Storm.

I was just wondering whether this might be an indication of a unit that's moving over to the (hopefully soon to be updated) codex?

Any thoughts / rumours / opinions out there on the forum?

Well, as far as I know there aren't any rumours going around about a new Tau codex at all. But if the XV9, Tetra and Barracuda were included in the codex I would be a very happy Trolly.

No rumours about it, but Tau are expected to be early 2012 given what books are left.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed on the early 2012 thing, although it'll probably mean we're an edition behind before we even start :-(

I'm hoping that they bring across Knarloc riders too, they're cool models and it would make the codex a bit different as there's not too many cavalry units knocking around.

Tetra as transport wouldn't make sense, if only because it's barely big enough to fit two crewmen, let alone a squad of Pathfinders. For 50pts you get a 10/10/10 Fast Skimmer with Scouts, a free Disruption Pod, and a markerlight; just run them around the battlefield marking anything that looks at them crosswise, your opponent will never be able to kill them.

Would be cool if they got a plastic kit, though.

With some luck the tau codex will be made designed for the next edition, rather than what happened before.

There are only two possible outcomes for 6th:

Option one: Xenos rule all(like in 4th)

Option Two: Space Marines for every release(like in 5th. )

What Do I want? Option one. What do I expect? Option 2.

Tau will prolly get updated sometime during 6th, but we'll get the Dark Eldar Treatment. Not that it's bad, but Tau will prolly only get an update because it'll be the oldest Codex, and it'll either be Squat them or update. If we don't get an update by 7th, start looking for a new army, because Hive Fleet Ninja( The one that got the squats) will be visiting the Empire soon enough.
