I just read in the army book all the mounts count as cavalry mounts regardless of the base size, does something in the new rulebook overule this then?

Yes the rulebook says its monstrous, but the army book definately says they are all cavalry, usually the army book takes precedance but I assume in this case its the rulebook

FAQ states to use the classifications in the back of the RBRB.

BRB has the right of way in this case.

If Daemonic Steeds are classed as monsterous cavelry then you don't get LoS.

If they are simply Cavelry then you will get LoS regardless of base size(Base size was last edition)
