Hello this is Nightfall with my first tutorial for a friend of mine. I hope that you like this tutorial and the end result is not just simple but looks great in numbers.

All that you need for this Tutorial is 4 colours. Chaos Black, Shadow Grey, Enchanted blue and Ice blue. This is a beginers guide so I hope it is simple enough for anyone who is not a great modeler and painter yet. I hope even some of you masters out there find this interesting and like it.
This is a tutorail for Tyranids but could be used on other races or models of wanted to.

here we go

Step one: base layer

clean and simple just paint the entire model in "Chaos black".

Step two: dry brush

Dry brush all over the model "Shadow grey". apply more "Shadow grey" on the edges of scales and claws

Step three: Enchanting the scales

heavily dry brush "enchanted blue" on the scales. claws and teeth of the Tyranid

Step four: icing the Cake

lightly dry brush on the edges of the Nids scales "ice blue". Heavily drybrush on the claws of the nid in ice blue but like HEAVILY!

And heres the finished result on its own.

and here is what they look like in a group... much better than on there own

Thanks for reading. tell me what you think and keep on painting

Pretty rockin'.

Only suggestion: get a little Skull White on them after the grey layer, to amp up the blue just a touch more towards the very edges.

I've got a totally fluorescent scheme running right now, and the only way to make neon pop is with a base of white.

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

I like the suggestion... mmm I thought of using a white base but all Miniatures that I make all have the same coloured base cause in my fluff, (which iam still writing) my Space Marine chapter is fighting for its home world with CSM, Nids and Orks crawling on it.

thanks for positive feedback
