hi folks
looking at crafting some tank emplacements, redoubts and various other terrain peices but cant seem to work out the best size from the pics on the internet. The other issue is im not overly close to the nearest model shop so a pain to check and their not great anyway.

So i was wondering could any tell me and if possible show me what scale sandbags are best sized for 40k and in particular guard emplacements?
thanks
millest

Found this link in my travels across the almighty Google. I hope it helps.

I have used these. they are very cheap and give you quite a few sandbags. They fit the scale nicely. There are a few other kits on the same site you might be interested in as well.

Both Italeri and Tamiya do sandbags in 1/35 which aren't too out of scale for 40k (they are what I use).

I prefer the Italeri ones, though - the Tamiya ones are hollow bottomed whereas the Italeri ones are solid.

It's usually waist height, this is meant to allow for a charge across no mans land, and allow cover from oncoming fire while crouched.

in the past I've picked up 2-4$ Aus, packets of army men at the cheap shop that have sand bags, look good, sized appropriately and have good color, actually, allot of green army men scenery is ideal ha

For loose bags pick up some GS and make some at about the same size as the solid ones. They are pretty easy to put together and benefit from the fact that fingerprints can be used to make the bag look textured
