Hopefully they'll keep adding bits to it.

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time... |

I buy from them all the time, but they recently blocked me because one of my auction wasn't received
I tried to convincing them with proof but they just said " if you claim an item wasnt received why do you still want to purchase from us" Well my response to that was i spent close to $500 in bits and its only 1 mess up so i don;t mind.
But they wont unblock me >.<

Nice, I've ordered a lot from these guys, too... it's an ever-growing niche with there being no other way to get bits except from folks willing to break up boxes!
Not sure if I'd rather use them this way rather than through ebay, will have to compare if there's a price difference / etc.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I've had no end of troubles with them. They don't answer eBay messages. I got my eBay account shut down because they wouldn't respond to an invoice where they stuffed up the combined postage and I got 20 non payment cases against me.
If there is no contact facility through their site I would be wary of doing business with them.

I thought with the title they would have a physical storefront.

I don't know what went wrong with your auction wins, but mine have always been pretty smooth. I've always gotten replies to my emails (don't know if they check eBay's web messages) and they give 21 days to even make a payment. I've even had an order messed up and they shipped replacements out within a few days.
The only issue I have with HoB's store is that they do the same thing other bits sellers do and price their stuff well above going rates - not quite as much as Neal does but it gets close. In my experience, unless you're in a hurry, their eBay auctions are probably going to be a better deal.

I ordered items through them a few times, but they kept shipping them to me in regular unpadded envelopes. 2 of my orders arrived with holes in the envelopes because of the poor packaging and nothing inside. He credited me the first time and sent replacements (I was willing to order again), and then a few more times went by without incident, until another order of about $3.00 in bits was sent again in an unpadded envelope and it was full of nothing. I tried contacting with no resolution or answer from him. I tried contacting him through ebay again and found out he had blocked me from bidding and/or contacting him again. I'm still out the $3.00 plus shipping, and haven't heard anything from him in over a year (gave up after first month).
whoever chops his bits off the sprue also could take alittle more time as one of the pieces I got had been mangled by the snips, luckily it was a part I didn't need anyway, but if your going to bit stuff out you need to make sure your selling good stuff.
Thats my rant, take it for what it's worth

The problem with bits sales is a lot of gamers have no real concept of they are paying for the time and risk of the seller. As someone who has sold thousands of bits a month their is a huge risk involved and you often need too sell in volumn or you won't turn a profit. On average when you bits things out only half of the kick sells and you have just paid for a employee too cut it up (takes them forever, because they are cutting the whole box up not just the bits sold that second) and then paying them too package it. Also there are all of the fees involved with ebay and paypal , vendors so in the end you only make about 10% profit if your lucky. Personally HOB as is many others are moving away from ebay because you get shafted easy with them and paypal. If people file a complaint even if you show proof that you either reshipped etc etc ebay gives a refund and you end up loosing thousands. Just something too think about is all.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |
