Hi all,

Thought id upload some images on my current looted wagon project. nothing professional, so please dont expect a museum piece or anything...also my camera is rubbish This is my second looted wagon. my first is a very old leman russ demolisher i inherited, so thats acting as my boomtank, but i do sometimes deploy a skorcha wagon transport with burna boyz inside. so i wanted to build one

I wanted to use the basilisk platform at the back of the standard chimera frame to represent an open back end compartment where the burna boyz would all be hanging around playing cards waiting to disembark and shoot fiery death I chose the hellhound instead of the chimera though as the turret and flame cannon is soooo much better.

So the basics built together, i attached the basilisk platform to the floor of the wagon, so this is where the boyz will be sitting. I decided that a mounted big shoota would do well here, so mocked together a gunnaboy holding a bigshoota.
Unfortunately he was too short though, so i had to cut up and pose a gretching on his hands and knees acting as a stool for the boy...its a grots life!

also stuck a few weapons onto the inside of the wagon as it seems fitting for a transport. The basilisk gun mount works very well as a bench too

Burna boyz next i guess....

what do you think? does it work? anything not work? anything missing?

Get out dremel/pin vise and add tons of shell/bullet holes. Then add a bunch of patchwork armour plates and orky glyph plates.

thanks guys. defo will be adding battle damage, armoure plates etc, and generally orkifying it.

Sorry if im not supposed to post these here, but here are some poor fuzzy shots of my boomtank, which this will end up similarly orkified. The photos arent great on detail, and make the paintjob look to stark and not representative of RL (it looks like i havent shaded anything when i have!), but it should give you an idea of the orkification i plan for the skorchawagon
(probably wont do quite as much though)

I dig the toothy bits on the front. The ork with flamer hanging out the front is great too. With all the orkifakations it looks like a Snake Bite ride.

right, so ive added more onto this now.

first off are some standard grots hanging out of the windows making a nuisance of themselves and acting as my grot riggers a reinforced ram of sorts has also been tagged on. plus theres a clearer view of a burna boy fuel tank attached to the side and a few glyphs have made their way onto the turret and ram.

so moving back to the rear of the wagon, i added my first burna boy to the passenger area, sitting down, looking out waiting for disembarkation with a cigar hanging out of his mouth.
added a random bad moon logo to the tank hatch, and i think in fact ill get rid of the grot in the hatch and have it closed with the bright yellow logo being more visible then.

added my second burna boy queuing up behind the first...i forgot how big these guys are, i can only really fit in 2 in the entire basilisk platform!!!!!
added a grot leaning over the blast shield pointing somewhere trying to get the burna boy's attention.

a few other random glyphs have made their way onto it, along with battle damage, claw marks and bullet holes. my next set of photos should make those clearer, but in the meantime thats it!

love to know your thoughts now its progressing and if it is working on a fundamental level or not!

sorry to resurrect my own thread!

this project went on a bit of a back burner whilst i got painting other bits, but i picked it up again over my christmas leave, to find out my missus had dropped it on the floor and smashed it!

so i had to remake it, and have decided to simplify much of the back, but ive added in some more grots, turret mounted weapons etc, and ive now managed to paint it! let me know what you think! (apologies for the pics, taken on my phone)
