Chaos Gods in their endless quest for power and more energy started to explore other universes and realities in search for fresh victims. In their quest they stumbled upon the galaxy that has Humans, but Humans that lived in peace with aliens and don't have vast galactic empire like the Imperium. They also feel that that galaxy is full of races that are full of emotions so they started to ingnite warp storms in that universe so that they can draw energy from it as well. But, soon they were attacked. Race of supernatural beings knows as the Q living in Q continum have declared themselves keppers of that universe and as soon as Chaos Gods assaulted it Q start attacking Chaos Gods.

In all out battle for domination who get destroyed and who get victorious? Niote: all 4 Chaos Gods with all their powers and forces against all of Q.

For Emperor and Imperium!!!!

The Q are an omnipotent alien race in Star Trek. Yadda, yadda.

The "Q" are powerful Psychic Beings that as a race formed an Union of a Race of Psychers that combine the entire race's Psychic power to give them close to unlimited Psychic power bordering on God like power. But the Continuum of Q are limited by the imagination of the race of Q. Now the Chaos Gods are not God like powers, they have God Powers, and yes the "Q" can defeat individual Greater Daemons because they are just small fractions of the power of the chaos god to make these avatars of the Chaos gods.

"Q" are a bunch of powerful Mortals working together to become Immortals.

Chaos Gods are Powerful Gods working alone to influence the Mortals.

"Q" individually can be killed which during Star Trak I can recall at lest 2 "Q"s actually dying, so one of the Chaos gods could sever the Psychic link combining all the "Q" together and then Kill the separated "Q" and in tern make the "Q" as a whole weaker.

For the Q Continuum would be utterly annihilated by the Ruinous Powers. Theirs are minds of order and control, though some might have a malicious streak... they would not well withstand the mind-blasting insanity that is unfiltered Chaos.

Basically. They can die but they are all true gods.

They're omnipotent in the Star Trek universe where they have no other comparison but either mortals or whatever alien-god-of-the-week is threatening the Enterprise. We've never seen the Q up against real gods. We have no idea if they can trim their nails and make the Ruinous Powers vanish, as they have never been placed against something remotely similar in the Star Trek-verse.

The ruinous powers win, of course.

They CANNOT be destroyed. Ever. They can only be weakened, and even then, not in battle. Only through starvation (atheism).

As the war goes on, the Q will die. The more of them die, the weaker they are. They simple cannot win.

You forget Necoho. Atheism fuels him. Ruinous Powers win! unless the Crons are able to severe the connection between Real space and the Warp. Then Ruinous Powers lose. But that's beside the point

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

The Q state they're omnipotent. That doesn't mean they are omnipotent.

Keep in mind that we have to rate them by what they've shown on screen; what they've shown on screen is powerful control of reality, but the Chaos Gods have that too.

I'd say the Q win because they seem like they can be more focused than the Chaos Gods. Sure, Q loves just doing whatever he wants, but he's not a slave to his emotions like the Gods of Chaos are.

They're not Slaves to Emotions, they ARE emotions.

And just a Greater Daemon of Tzeentch seems capable of matching the powers of Q. They ARE Alpha+ Equivalents after all, and Alpha+ means that the material universe is simply a playground for you.

The only thing from Star Trek that could kill the Chaos Gods would be Captain Kirk with a ripped shirt. Unless his shirt rips, he'll lose. Nothing else from Star Trek has a prayer. Psh...trekkies...lol

They are sufficiently advanced aliens.

Nothing more. And actually, didn't another member of the Q race at some point admit they are not omnipotent?

I don't know if they can beat the Chaos Gods or not, but if claims were feats, every DBZ villain in its entire run would be the most powerful being in the universe.

Q can/do alter reality in real space... don't need/may even be dead to the warp...

For all we know the Chaos Gods find that the Star Trek 'verse has no "warp" per se. "Q" is a weak selfish brat Q... the Continuum is very powerful and chooses not to screw with humanity. I have no doubt that in the 'Trek verse they bind together and annihilate the Chaos Gods (who are much younger/weaker than they).

Now if the Q invade 40k verse, then I think we can have a fun set of "what ifs".

The material realm can be manipulated in any way by the Q, so they could zap away anything sentient and then the Chaos gods would starve. If anything came into the material realm (daemons) they could instantly destroy them, so they would win easily.

Q are immortals who have lived long enough to master all aspects of the universe. Also, Q's can only be killed by other Q's. So Q's would probably win.

So, zap away all dogs and cats? Wow, the Ruinous Powers are scared now. It's a battle between one immortal and omnipotent faction and another immortal and omnipotent faction. One dedicated to absolute order, the other to chaos. They are essentially, equal.
Yet, like all of these cross-universe comparison, it is flawed from the very beginning. We don't know the true capabilities of either party, how they would affect each other, or their weaknesses. Since this involves the Warp, which is a realm that exists in no other fiction for all intents and purposes, the comparison is useless.

I'm sorry i cannot make an opinion as I have never seen an episode of star trek in my life but who in their right mind decided to call such a powerful race 'The Q'? On those terms alone chaos wins!

Simple. If the Q are psychic, they can be possessed, and since they've never had to develop any way to resist Chaos before, they would all get their souls eaten pretty quick.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

Factor in, tho, that that is talking about the star trek-verse, where there are no gods to insta-gib them.

If the Chaos Gods invade the Q universe, won't they have to fight on the Q's terms? I mean, diffferent rules right?

Realistically this fight can't happen, for the same reason a direct confrontation between C'tan and Chaos God can't.

The Q are powerful in the material universe, the Chaos Gods in the Warp.

It's essentially impossible to say, IMO.
