Stumbled across this easily avoided (i.e. it looks naff) comic gem tonight

Starved of anything decent to watch on TV, I persuaded Mrs Flashman to give Tucker and Dale vs Evil a go via download. The basic gist is that Tucker and Dale are (perceived) hillbillies who take a holiday fixing up an old cabin in the woods. Camping nearby are a group of college kids, who after a series of (cleverly done) misunderstandings, soon start dropping like flies. Stand out moment is when one of them trips and falls head first into a wood chipper. One gory death later and with perfect comic timing, Tucker asks tentatively of the twitching corpse, "Are you ok?" I'd say the belly laughs are only sustained for the first hour, but it is probably the funniest hour of film I've seen this year.

Yeah, the first hour is really well done. It does lose momentum though, around about the time Tucker and Dale figure out what's happened.

Also, that girl from 30 Rock is really hot.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

My dad recorded it for me to watch. His favorite movies are:

Sling Blade
The Men Who Stare at Goats
Tropic Thunder

Should I be worried about this one?

Tucker and Dale is a brilliant movie, streamed it to watch just a few days ago. The comic timing is spot on and the two Hillbillies are extremely likeable. Painfully shy but down to earth and genuine, they are great characters alongside the mistrustful, psychotic teens that try (unsuccessfully) to hunt them down and kill them.
The woodchipper scene is probably my favourite.... A* all round !

Yeah, I laughed so much the first time I watched it that I had to watch it again just in case I missed something, and more than once I did. (My favorite part involves the lines "No, don't use that!" and "Oh, I know I should have moved those!")

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
