Thanks! They fall in-line nicely with my Altansar Craftworld. Given that they've spent 10,000 years within the Eye of Terror, I really wanted to reflect dark colours nicely upon all troop choices - aspects included.

I will be picking up another box set of FD soon, will be applying learnt methods on these to those! Aha...

Thanks again.

Black fire dragons, because cleaning your armor after every exploded vehicle takes time.

Well done!

Although I'm a fan of the traditional "color wheel" Eldar, I really love how these turned out.

The black armor looks really great, and I love how it looks shiny without looking glossy.

Sure!

Primed white.
Thin layer of Calthan brown, watered down.
Several layers of devlan mud wash.

I applied a very light drybrush of deep grey to the muzzle of the Exarch's melta. I didn't apply it to the other guns for some reason, I reckon it would give the guns a real 'pop' if a proper burnt//use effect was applied to the muzzle of each gun.

Job done! It's a rough finish but I was in a lazy mood when it came to do the guns. My original plan was to do them in a bone colour but chose against it, mostly for the above reason.

I am thankful that they came out lookin' quite OK.

I like the non standard colour scheme. How many versions of fire dragons have actually been sculpted? I have what must be the oldest version (judging by the poses) and the most modern. Besides those ones, was there another (4th) version somewhere in between?
