What order do you take them in? I'm a little confused and I have my first game tonight.
I think you take you regular armor save and if you fail that then you take the parry save. And then, if you fail both of those saves you can take your Ward save if you have one. Am I correct?

the order is
1) armor save
2) the best ward save if you have more than one (if you have a parry and a 5+, you only take the 5+)
a) you may take a regen save instead of a ward save

You almost have it.
If you get armor you take that first (unless the str or the weapons effects negate armor as in no armor saves)
if you fail your armor you get your ward save or regen.
The parry save for hand weapon shield combo is a ward save.
So to recap:
1 armor save if you get one
2 ward or parry or regen if you have it.
Hope that helps.

Does the parry add +1 to the ward save though?

No, parry is its own special ward save that can only be used in certain situations. It is a 6+. The only current exception to this is a Tzeentch marked unit/character, who can have a 5+ parry save.

I suggest you don't believe anything posted by thedarkavenger unless confirmed by other regular posters here at Dakka. He has shown he is incapable of basic English comprehension.

Nothing modifies ward.
Er, except some Daemon and WoC abilities (like TZ marks).
A parry isn't a +1 ward, it's a 6+ ward. If you have a 6+ ward, a 5+ ward, a 4+ ward, a 3+ ward, a 2+ ward. All you get is a single 2+ roll.

Basically, ward saves don't stack, and the parry save is a ward save used only in CC.

And only against normal attacks, stomps and impacts can't be parried.

You can parry the Abom hits from the charge, a giant jumping up and down or swinging a club.
Hell, you can parry the wounds from a giant picking up a model and throwing it back into your unit.
All you can't parry is stomps, thunderstomps, impact hits, or anything not coming from the front.
