If anyone read the new necron rumours you know that one of the necrons have a huge man in spacemarine armor.

Who do you think this could be?

A huge man in space marine armour? The new fluff already sounds like gak...

Well, that would be very interesting, but what in the emperor's name would he be doing there? Are you sure its a man inside that thing?

According to the what the sources say the quote is 'a giant of a man clad in baroque power armor'. It could be just that, A large person in Baroque Power Armour. Doesn't sound like a Primarch to me.

Are there any instances of any 'Large' Space Marines or Inquisitors going missing after investigating Necron Tomb Worlds in the fluff?

Ferrus Manus, his hands are covered with the necrodermis so he'd make the most sense if any. Though likely not a primarch and probably some marine. Perhaps one from the Astral Knights, that sacrificed themselves to defeat the world engine. Maybe even one of their captains or chapter master.

Not in the current fluff. There's loads of people that have gone missing investigating necrons, but none have been described as excessively large.

But Ferrus kinda doesn't have a head since during the Heresy.

Yes, and a lack of head dose impede your ability to do anything.

What about Mr. He'stan, the Salamanders Primarch?

It's not even definitely a space marine, let alone a Primarch.

One of Abaddon's servants was described as huge, clad in baroque power armour. That doesn't mean it was a primarch. It could be anything.

If this is indeed true, then I think it's pretty obvious that whoever is writing the book is trying to cause speculation by hinting at the Necrons capturing one of the Primarchs. I'm gonna go with Vulkan.

"Baroque Power Armor" does not mean Primarch. It's called Mk II, Mk III, and Mk IV power armor. It's been around for a few thousand years.

Well, no, that wouldn't point to a Primarch alone. The fact that this is a mysterious power armoured giant points to it being one of the missing Primarchs. At least that is what the writer is trying to get people to speculate.

Why though? The text is reported to say 'a giant of a man clad in baroque power armor'.

'Giant of a man' doesn't automatically suggest Primarch to me, just a large power armoured individual. If it possibly said something like a 'Giant of a Space Marine' or a 'Giant of a being' then I would agree, but it just could be exactly that, a man.

If it is a Primarch, then Vulkan would be the only one I guess. But I don't think it is a Primarch.

Could be Ferrus, yea he's dead and all but the Necro metal went inside him (silver eyes). Who's to say he hasn't inherited their resurrection powers.

Look, I've not read the passage, this is all the information we have. To me it seems fairly obvious what the writer is trying to point at. I'm not necessarily saying it is a Primarch, just that this kind of speculation is what the writer (I assume it's Ward) is trying to cause. A mysterious giant man clad in baroque or ancient Power Armour, whose identity is unknown, that the Necrons have captured. I know of no missing Astartes, but I know of a few missing Primarch.

The fluff. He had his head cut off and given to Horus. The unknown metal material, not Necron metal, coated his hands, it did not enter his whole body. Although I agree that would be super cool if Ferrus was still alive.

If Ferrus is still alive, he's definitely firmly in the flying rodent gak crazy category. He's a disembodied head that a daemon molested.

The unknown metal is highly speculated to be Necron metal, the Wyrm being a necron construct. Also it did go inside his body aswell, he gained metallic eyes.

Fair enough.

It's probably just a normal marine though. Power armoured necrons would be interesting though.

Yeah, speculated. I'm certain that at the point of the story's creation the concept of Necron constructs and living metal did not exist in 40k. Source for gaining metallic eyes. His irises turned silver, but his hands were the only part that had the metal on them. His head was cut off, and there was a huge release of energy, so it's pretty certain that he is dead, he's not regrowing a whole head.

That is a good point.
Arnold Schwarzenegger?
He's pretty big I think, and it would certainly explain where the necrons got their appearance.

So you're saying with certainty that it's not a Primarch, without having read the passage, and only having a single sentence that's probably fourth-hand information. Good one.

He could be converted into a Necron Lord.
