I am very peeved.

I had a copy in my basket when it said 414 left. By the time I logged in with my account to checkout... there were -3 in stock and it was removed from my cart.

No copy for me.

Well, frak Games Workshop.

On 18:00 on the dot, I tried to order it and the thing bugged out on me after getting to payment.

I barely managed to get the Silver Edition, which is now at a stock level of -3.

My mate who managed Gold, has found that they're charging for shipping for him as well.

Check out the comments at the cluster-(expletive deleted) that was the Aurelian sale at Black Library today. I'm glad I didn't try to buy one of these. Shipping was supposed to be free, but apparently there were problems with that on top of the website slowing down considerably and people not being able to check out in time and having their cart emptied without getting a book.

What a mess. I decided not to spend $30 or $50 on what is essentially an overpriced pamphlet. Eventually they'll reprint the story a couple years down the road in a more affordable edition for those who want to read it without spending enough money for a decent dinner out.

Thanks to your post I was able to order the gold edition at 7. Although this is the first I have heard about it I am sure it will be good as the hype is crazy lol. So thank you!

I'm amazed how quick people are to toss out $50 US or the equivalent on a very short story in this economy. How many of those people also complain about GW's model prices? It's a rhetorical question, please don't respond.

Well, I've just cancelled my order, all 100 pounds worth of it. - So the good news I suppose, is that there's another silver edition left.

Terrible customer service all round. I won't be trying to buy anything from them again any time soon.

On another note, I think Bioware should have some new limited edition goodies up soon....

I got up at 2am on a work night to order it (again), and managed to get the silver edition I wanted. While both editions appeared to sell out in minutes, there are actually about 500 silvers still available. I was charged shipping but they've already said on facebook that it will be refunded. All in all I don't have much to complain about but with all the hassle I hope they'll give this limited edition stuff a rest. I like my books to appear on my kindle seconds after release, not wait for them to be shipped to the other side of the world.

I have a money making idea for BL... its a single page book that they could sell for $10,000+... Printed on vellum, bound in leather...Title: "In the name of the Emperor"... on that single page it just reads "Few know the his origins and even fewer would utter his true name; that most sacred name of the god emperor of mankind is (insert your name here)."

There were golds available 4 hours after they went on sale at
At 10pm last night ( cst) there were still silvers available.

I had no issues ordering a gold edition when it first came up for sale, then 10mins later getting back on and ordering 3 print on demand books with free shipping.
I know at least 5 other people that had no issues at all ordering gold with in the first 30mins it was up.

Most of which were on the other side of the globe...

Even with 6,000 total copies around, some decided to gamble on sticking it on eBay at a hefty mark-up. I saw this auction today where one seller has 8 copies to go:
