Unorthodx use of options aside, you're being quite modest with this set of rules for Sanguinius. Here's my suggestions:

Profile
At least make him as good in this category as Mephiston. S6/T6/W5 is often considered typical for a Primarch anyway. What I wouldn't recommendation for every Primarch is I7, but I don't think it wouldn't go amiss on ole' Sang either.

Psychic Powers
Considering he can wield a Force Weapon does he have any others BA powers?

Special Rules
How would The Red Thirst special rule be affected by this? Maybe instead marines in the same army would be able to choose whether to pass or fail moral tests instead like the God of War/Iron Will abilities instead...

Wargear
Blood Halo - There's little point to differentiating this from a normal Iron Halo. Just feels like another excuse to put use the 'Blood' prefix.

I would say 325-1o 350 over 300. I would also make the spear of Telesto a singing spear which is AP2, and take away the Infernus bolter(Dropping back down to 300) I would take away the Glaive of blood, and the purging pistol, and add a "Primarch" Special Rule with fleet, acute senses, and furious charge (and take away both random furious charge armour abilities, but still allow it to the squad, more for clarity than losing it)

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh, and fearless.

Firstly, thanks for your input guys.

What does the red thirst do exactly? Im not to familiar with the BA codex.

I think that "Primarch" special rule is a bit over powered, and I didnt give him fearless because you'd think a Primarch wound know when to stay and when to run. That made me realise he should have either Hit and Run or a special rule where he can "tactically retreat" from combat.

Then perhaps this task falls outside your area of expertise and should be abandoned.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

If I am not mistaken he was able to read the future somewhat. I would love to see this written into his rules as I saw it as one of his greatest powers.

Would be cool to throw in a rule somewhat like Brother Corbulos but more powerful, maybe reroll one dice per game turn or something.

The statline actually looks fine. I did a set of primarch rules back in the day, and I like giving primarchs T5. The primarchs were like humanity perfected, infused with warp power. Like the Emperor's own daemon princes, but still flesh and bone. Their durability didn't come from monstrous size or thick skin or chitinous plates, it was more of a supernatural vitality. They're demi-gods, not monstrous creatures.

Give him Eternal Warrior and Feel No Pain. All primarchs should also have a 5+ or even 4+ invulnerable, not from any wargear, but their own "aura" so to speak, like a daemon's invulnerable save.

Most important, all the primarchs had supernaturally rapid healing. In "First Heretic", Lorgar gets gutted on the field of battle by Corax's lightning claws, and not only survives, but can feel himself knitting back together on the spot. 4 Wounds sounds good, and give him a special rule where he regains 1 lost wound at the end of every turn on a roll of a 6 or something.

The way I see it, the primarchs were frequently wounded in combat, sometimes severely, but always shrugged it off and continued the fight. The deaths/near deaths we have details of are all beheadings (Curze, Manus) or were carried out with the anathame (Horus, Guilliman) that specifically stopped a primarch's healing abilities. Other than that the primarchs are frequently shot, stabbed, have bones broken, or are nearly disemboweled, and keep going like freaking Wolverine.

Moving on, Sanguinius did possess limited visions of the future. Let the player redeploy D3 units after both sides have set up, but before the game starts.

I won't comment much on the weapon options, other than to say simple is better - give him a few iconic weapons and leave it at that.
