Master Tormentor

St. Louis

The widow of a proud Menite soldier, Nicia hopes only that by the time she meets her own inevitable, bloody death she will have killed enough unbelievers to join her husband at Menoth’s side. This peerless Daughter of the Flame strides through battle with lethal grace and speed, each movement gauged to bring her within striking distance. Even as she cuts through one foe, she fells another with cannon fire, wheeling her blade around for another kill. Few enemies have witnessed Nicia's murderous devotions and lived.

Mercenary warjacks are often drawn from discontinued chassis once produced by kingdom armies. The Mule, a former Cygnaran warjack, wields a massive battle mace and an innovative steam-powered cannon packing enough explosive punch to scatter enemies like leaves. The Nomad, once a Cygnaran mainstay, has been battering enemy ’jacks with its battle blade for 150 years. The Rover was built specifically for mercenary use, and its battleaxe and shield-mounted cannon have turned the tide of many a battle. Mercenaries maintain these battle-tested machines and find them fully capable of standing toe-to-toe against any fresh from the assembly line.

This box set contains three color stat cards and one multi-part heavy warjack plastic model (PIP 41085). Included are all the components to assemble one of three heavy warjack variants: Mule, Nomad, or Rover. A player may field any number of these heavy warjacks with a Mercenary warcaster.

The boneswarm is an undulating mass of osseous debris given horrid life and animation by lingering necromantic energies in places where many have died. Gatorman bokors have learned to control these horrors, directing them to envelop foes in a mass of biting, toothy skulls. The bones of its slain victims are incorporated into the boneswarm itself, allowing it to heal damage and grow stronger and more resilient.

The plastic merc jacks are terrible. I really see why their less expensive, since you get punished for owning one by having to look at it. as for the boneswarm i really like it. Its dynamic and different, which cant be said for the action figures that the jacks represent.

I believe the boneswarm is a repackaging of an IK model that's been out for a while.

It is, and I've been waiting for it to be turned into a hordes solo.

The merc jacks suffer from being photographed at a bad angle, and with the default merc color scheme. But, they're also kinda supposed to be ugly.

That is one terrific female sculpt.

I guess the Boneswarm is PP tossing Maelok a bone (Yak gives DCM memberships for bad puns). Seriously though, another undead unit that will benefit from his feat I suppose...

They look fine for what they are. They're not as ornate as most normal 'jacks, but they look the part for cut-price scavenged mercenary equipment.

Excited about the 'jacks although I do like the original Nomad better.

The nice thing is that they're plastic, so you can easily repose and add extra stuff.

Imagine just adding a bunch of stowage on those things, or cutting into the plastic to add battle damage.

Misery. Missouri. Who can tell the difference.

I'm not to concerned about the plastic jacks. The studio builders never really pose their plastic models well. Also, they never really get good pictutes of them. The paint job does look a bit rushed. Oh well I guess I will be buying some later on.

They're not going to convert their gallery models. It's not as if there are many posing options with their stock plastic jacks, unless you're a fan of flailing arms.

The Rovers shield gun looks really unappealing from that angle.

Nicia is a wonderful mini, the face is one of the best female faces I've seen in a while and the pose is good too, just enough action without looking awkward. I can't wait to add her to my Menite army!

I dont see why people aren't happy with the plastic Merc jack, all three variants look like I was expecting. The default poses static, but is easily fixed and I'd honestly take that over the old Nomad pose any day. Ease of transport and positioning on the table win for me any day! Plus it's plastic so easily posed any way you want.

Nicia is insanely nice. I hadn't really considered her much but she could go nicely with a paladin swarm as well.

Then you'll be disappointed as it's a Light Beast and not a Solo.

Boneswarm doubled in price since it was an IKRPG model.

Nicea is very nice.

Merc jack looks okay. I think one issue with the paint is the lack of rivets.
If you look at a zoom version or the 360, you can see they are modelled on, but they are all just part of the panel they are on.
I think this is negatively affecting opinions of them.

Meg (PP Studio painter) said on the PP board that she magnetized the kit, and the color scheme was dictated from above.
It does seem like the reflections/highlights are in a NMM effect that doesn't work with the angle they photographed it from.

They really do need a new studio photographer. whoever it is is just awful.

Nicia (Although I don't play PoM) and Boneswarm - Very nice!

The plastic jacks - Meh. I might buy Rover and really don't have a problem with the way he looks as this is his first, and only, model. The other two, Mule and Nomad, not impressed. They just seem less then their metal version. I understand they are to represent a basic design that is shared by all three, but it seems so much aesthetic was loss for that unified look.

I am hoping this isn't the end of the metal Mule and Nomad.

No. They suffer from being bad models.

The sink.

The metal Mule looks nicer than the plastic one judging by the pics on the PP website.

Just to mention, those three Jacks are magnetized and the painter was given a color scheme she had to use, she didn't get to choose it. I think they would look just fine with some more dynamic posing. The only real problem to me is the haft on the Mule's mace, it's just too long and thin to support it.

Wait... You don't like the haft on the mace but you're fine with the massively imbalincing shield/cannon thing? o.O

Well, the shield could be better too, or at least not so low, but it doesnt leave as noticeable a spatial void as the thin mace, so it doesn't stand out as much to me.

I was instantly struck by Nicia - and I don't like PP models that much generally. Well sculpted, realistic, expressive yet subtle. The only thing keeping me from buying her (ok, seriously considering maybe buying it when I have all my existing stuff painted), is that apparently she has a cannon hidden somewhere????

Rotate the 360 view on the website.

Apparently the sword blade is attached to a gun barrel.

You know, at first his need to go into every PP thread and hate up the place was annoying, now it's just boring, pathetic, and sad.

And I wouldn't know about it if you didn't keep quoting him.
