Well it's been months since I've looked at the Diablo III site as Blizzard have been taunting for years and it got to the point where I swear it was the most epic of all April Fool's for 2012, but what do I find?
I'm aware this has been mentioned in the WoW thread - but I couldn't care less for that jazz, here's where the real money shot is
How cool is that USB stick? Somewhat impractical but stylish never-the-less and it comes with Diablo 2 and LoD pre-loaded - which is a nice touch. I might have to save up for the Collector's Edition. Oh well, there goes the rest of my life...
Diablo's the only Blizzard franchise I remotely care about these days.

I'm not a fan of the series, myself, but I am looking forward to it. I didn't play D2 back in its heyday, so by the time I got around to trying it, my views were already colored by modern RPGs, WoW included. My main issue has always been the fact that D2 doesn't have a hotbar, so you either need to manually set every spell (and then remember which one is tied to which button) to a shortcut, or spam the hell out of one technique.
Much as I disliked D2, however, I gotta say that D3 looks impressive. I saw a gameplay trailer a long, long time ago, and...just wow. I'm glad I'm getting it free with my annual pass.

This is probably the ONLY game I have been really waiting for. Waiting ever since I finished Diablo II over a decade ago.
Oh the hours spent on that game....
Maybe you hang out with immature women. Maybe you're attracted to immature women because you think they'll let you shpadoink them.
I want this so bad, if it were in stores right now, I would be camped out by the door.
Automatically Appended Next Post: I didn't scroll down far enough the first time, now I've watched the trailer. I think I just messed myself. Once this comes out, there will be a lot of girlfriends and parents and bosses who are gonna be wondering where the hell everyone went.

QFT. WoW is boring. If I was going to play an MMO, it would be EQ2, or DMO.
The only MMO I'm looking forward to is Transformers Universe.

We’re gearing up for the forthcoming launch of Diablo III and would like to extend you an invitation to participate in the beta test. If you are interested in participating, you need to have a Battle.net account, which you can create on our Battle.net website.
We will flag you for access to the Diablo III beta test when we begin admitting press. You do not need to go through the opt-in process.

I wouldn't have thought so HBMC, I still play LoD, even now and it runs fine without wifi.
Been looking forward to this for 10+ years and the gameplay trailers I've seen look awesome. It'll probably be the first PC game that I'll have bought on release since D2 and LoD. Please Blizzard, please don't let me down! Although I probably won't be buying the collectors edition, as I have D2 and LoD already on my laptop.... But it just looks so cool, I'm torn!
Wish that stick had Diablo on it too, still have my D2 and LoD disks nearby . I may have to get this edition, it just looks too good to pass up Hope that D3 lives up to the years of expectations I have had for it since finishing LoD the week it was launched...
Vermillion, if you lived in the US, I'd post you a copy. I've got a few extra D1 disks laying around.

I have mixed feelings about Diablo 3. On one hand the gameplay looks awesome. On the other hand, the selection of classes and the backstory appear to be lacking (apparently our D2 characters are all insane…). Like its predecessor, I reckon Diablo will probably need some good content patches and an expansion for the game to truly shine.
That being said, I’ll preorder it and give it a fair crack.

I too have mixed feelings on this one, although my reservations are from the real-money transactions that you can make. Want the best equipment in the game? $20... here you go. True they are just cutting out the middle man (there were (are?) plenty of companies that would farm gear and sell it in D2), but having it be legit? Just seems off.
That being said, I'm a sucker and will still probably buy it.

You can always sell your stuff and buy whatever is there but I do believe there is also an in-game currency auction house.
My quickie build I made, the game looks cool. I am going to be playing crazy AoE characters to start just for giggles.
I'm definitely getting the collector's edition of this game. I've never played any of the Diablo series (although I have Diablo II and the expansion) but I've tried out a demo of the multiplayer for part 3 and thought it was real fun. I can't wait to try playing against a.i. enemies in singleplayer. I'm not sure which class I'm going to work on. Each of them have some badass moves and stuff.
So I heard Torchlight plays similar to Diablo II... is III going to be the same or is it more 'structured'... not as random (except, well, maybe for the gear)...?
As far as selling gear goes, I'm gonna only be selling rather than buying. I can earn my own equipment in a game easily through hard work and a bit of luck, but money? That's hard to come by.

Stop tempting me to move just for that

Are we talking real money which I refuse to part with for the virtual items, or in game money? Not been keeping 100% up to date with what they're doing as I keep expecting them to say "sorry we want to push WoW again and D3 will steal players from it"

Real money. They're including a market place for this crap.
Persoanlly I prefer necro over witch doctor myself, but then again I must be thinking of this kind of witch doctor:

+1 to that. I'll take a brooding death mage over what appears to be a meth head with tribal clothing. If I ever roll a WD it's going to be required to be female. There's just something cool about a female witch doctor sporting one of those voodoo masks. That and the female apparently doesn't have the shakes.
