Hey Dakka,

So my local GW is holding a 28 day challenge soon.

The rules are as follows:

1. Buy any Battle Force, Codex, and one blister (probably an HQ).

2. Paint said Battle Force and Blister within 28 days.

3. If you do so in alloted time you recieve a totally worth it fantastic fabric patch! Woot!

What I wanted to throw out there is: What is the best Battle Force and HQ to do this?

I already have C:SM and BA so I was thinking of doing one of the two battle forces for these armies and just expanding..........Thoughts?????

The store does not have them yet so I have no idea. I am assuming it looks something like a grand opening/birthday patch.

If I had a FLGS/GW near me and they had this challenge, I'd probably do the marine one because it would force me to get started on my Crimson Fists, fast

Necrons, just prime them black and do a boltgun drybush....and you're done lol

I do like the idea of starting a Crimsons fist army. I have thought about doing that before. I like the Sternguard a lot, so maybe that would be good.

Do Dark Eldar. They require very minimal painting, and dont have too many models to paint.
Basecoat black (spraypaint), highlight and detail.
Plus, theyre super fun

I am starting to tire of playing marine armies........

I'd say wait for Crons but that'd cut into your time... lol

What about the tyranid battle force? Nids in my eyes are a lot more fun to paint than marines or IG, also you would have the most kick ass looking army there!

No no. Buy some silver spray paint and dip/lotsofbadabblack.

1. Build
2. Spray silver, dunk then paint eyes green.
3. Show up about an hour to two hours later to the store smiling.
