Hope you guys enjoy this Bat Rep. My buddy and I had a really fun game. A minor rules issue that we caught later about the pathfinders range, but hey...no harm done.

After watching it again I think the only thing it would have affected would have been the WS Devilfish I shot towards the beginning of the game. Either way, I know for the next game, which I'm really pumped about.

Like the report and the armies! wohoo victory for the tau! Both armies just seemed like giant glass cannons when put up against each other. The only thing I might have done differently is keep my crisis suits better protected for when the eldar first arrived. 1 dead and another wound is pretty harsh, but not disastrous I suppose. I liked the use of the path finders, they really seemed to help at some critical moments to me.

I will...never be a memory

Great Batrep, eldar played into Tau's strength and suffered for it, but at 8-7 it was still a little too close considering how lucky the eldar player wasn't.

Tau are my favorite army, so I love seeing them catch a break like this.

Oh, and you'd probably get more views/comments on your batrep if you posted your lists here along with the links to your video.

Great Bat Rep and Game. I agree with the Eldar player Alpha striking one side would have been best, Although with the St 10 ap1 they are reduced to st 8 on the serpents so I would have left them on the board and turbo boosted onto one side, tried to hide the FP behind cover to protect them.

For the Tau player, I would try to run 2 to 3 squads of broadsides, I think they have a lot more potential to do more damage than the Hammerheads and with 2 wounds each aren't as likely to get taken out as fast. Just MO. I think leaving the Kroot or FireWarriors to bubble wrap the broadsides is always a good idea. they are after all doing most of the heavy hitting and lifting in the game. Cheers and take care. Great to see the bat rep, keep them coming.

"That sucks" at 12:39 and 13:20. Again, you say it well.

Bad_Sheep,
Here's another thing to kick yourself about besides MarkerLight range:

All that worrying about STR10 railguns? Your WaveSerpents don't care quite so much, as their Energy Field hobbles anything ranged to STR8.

... come to think of it, my Wave Serpents got dual dice pounded by a War Titan today ... still won though.

So when you play firemind again, start with everything on the table, on your edge to deny the Crisis Suits their 36" Missile Pod range. Then Flat Out, use the Star Engines and then eat up his lines.

Sorry, firemind, it's not like you're wielding the weaker codex.
Okay, a piece of advice for you. Infiltrate both the kroot and PFs next time. The PFs' ML range will be useful *AND* legit and the kroot will get to eat.

And Bad_Sheep, one more thing; you need waaay more terrain on that table. I'd guess that you're less than 12% terrain from the looks of it. Some fabric/felt (cheap, really cheap at Joan's or similar fabric store, like $2 a yard or some such) cut into some ovals and slightly irregular blob shapes with "trees" (aquarium fake plants, < 5 bucks) for Area Terrain can fill in nicely.
