Speaking of bases... looks like I'm finally running out. I've seriously got to go back and take a headcount..make sure I'm not missing a partial bag somewhere. Of my 200-some-odd litko clear acrylic bases I got a year or two ago.. I'm down to 20? I wonder if I really have 180 models on bases right now.. gonna go check

First one. I haven't even opened the package. Haha. I got a Badger, $27 model with compressed air sold separately. Yes, I did get the air. Haha

Cutting out a few bases for more forests before heading in to work. With the lessons learned from my trial run, I should be able to knock out another two or three to a similar standard in the time that the first one took, alone.

Learning the hard way ain't always fun, but that's what makes the lessons stick.

Got the Tyranid venomthropes box. Going to sit down tonight and make two venomthropes and a neurothrope out of it. Already have two zoanthropes, but no venomthropes... so figure this is best bang for buck for my army out of this box

Try get some painting done on a couple of Lictors as well

building some knights models
kind of annoying that the big chunky models are often just 2 or 3 pieces, yet the tiny delicate ones tend to be a bajillion pieces that are almost to small to pin

Still working on my overall list for my escalation campaign. So it turns out when I picked a warlord trait, and I snagged one of the ones from Leviathan, I locked myself into the hive fleet detachment... I wasn't planning on taking 3 troop choices for a 1000 point list...whoops.

Got very little done today :(

Spent most of the day trying to install my new tv and speakers, then playing Space Marine ...

Yesterday I put some finishing touches on a samurai and built a force and got together the models for a game called ronin.

Today I might add some patterns to the samurai clothing and base one of them. Of that goes well I will make a start painting the Ashigaru.

Painting a Sanctum Imperialis building and then I am going to build/primer some Haqqislam.

Painting Vikings and pondering ordering myself a copy of the SAGA rule book, good times good times here in the far north

Going to try and get some more IF done today, and possibly paint up a Death Jester I've converted.

I got a realm of battle board for free from a friend yesterday. So.... pretty excited about that. Got the scenery painting kit from GW. Today I am going to be painting my other Manufactorum that just came out of the stripping pool.

Realm of Battle Board you say? I wouldn't say no to one of those either

I think I'm gonna work on my undead cowboy/necromancer-nun pulp alley league. Don't judge me, blame Bones 2 for sending me cowboys, zombie cowboys, and a really mean stern looking nun-of-doom!

Maybe some scenery too. Got a loooot of battlezones that need to be used.

Looking forward to seeing them, all this Bones stuff around will no doubt have me building a Bones II shopping list soon enough, and undead cowboys are just the sort of thing that would make the list!

Yeah, the only problem I have with the board is the darned skull pits. I'm thinking of filling them in with water effects or something to cover it up.

And do post pics somewhere when you finish your battlezone. I'd love to see that terrain painted and done.

Skull pits seem annoying when you don't want them. Maybe make a wee insulation/foam hill to stick over the top so you've got the option?


Yeah Paradigm, I'm probably a hypocrite for making such a team... I'm sure I've inwardly mocked the Malifaux undead cowboy/outlaw/whatevers, even though I do secretly think they're cool. I just couldn't think of what I would possibly use the models for until I saw the nun and how mean she looked... and started thinking necromancer masquerading as a nun... muahahahahah.

Back filling with goo is not too hard.

I am painting Haqqislam today. Gonna try glazing since Infinity models seem to require better paintjobs.

Yeah I find my self subconsciously slowing down on infinity models even if I don't actively want to..

I might paint on a couple of those today, or work on some bones minis since they're a bit less demanding.

Still painting Kaladrax, and will be for several days..

Painting my undead giant when i feel like a break from the big guy.

Also painting Wolds in my lunch hour at work, and i have a unit of Wraithguard i'm working on..

Planning on finishing up my first 10-man Sternguard unit tonight. 1 guy needs doing, another just needs freehand, basing and weathering, and then I fancy a change of pace; yellow gets a bit dull rather quickly!

Also contemplating what to grab for my next supply drop. A box of Eldar Harlequins is a certainty, but after that I'm at something of a loss. Could be some more LotR, but I still have quite the backlog there, could be some more SM but they aren't the highest priority, could be some Deadzone, Malifaux or Infinity... We shall see...

GOing to finish basing 20 marines and get them put away... then I have to base the other 50 or so that I neglected to do when painting them.

Tiny bits of painting in between other things. Five mins here 20 mins there.

Gonna run up to the shop and pick up a toxicrene. We'll see if I can still get a golden ticket order in, and see if any of the stuff we ordered last week came in or if they decided to hold all the harlequin stuff

I'll see if 1 package of datacards is holding up the rest of my order I made last week...

Finished 4 cowboys but now I'm hatching plans for a necromancer nun, some cultists, and miscellaneous undead as another team.

I got the 20 marines based, but dropped one in the PVA! ITs dry now and just looks a little glossy so not going to mess with it
They look ok next to the dreadnought to

My painting style for these marines changed from the last time I did marines though so hope they blend with the rest of the army!

Next up... maybe some Khador Winter Guard?
