Managed to finish highlighting a Dreadnought's body, happy with the final result.

Today hopefully I'll start painting it's arms and considering it's only 2 for now, I'm hoping it doesn't take me that long.

Got the last Sternguard done, and while bringing him and the squad down to photograph, I tripped and the minis took a bit of a tumble. Everything is now fixed, apart from one base which has vanished (with a tiny part of Marine foot attached). Very irritating, time for a cuppa and then the search goes on... Hopefully I can get them down and photographed before the light goes, if not it will be tomorrow.

On the plus side, I am really quite pleased with how the squad has come out.

After a year and a half of messing around with a million and one card decks for X-Wing and Attack Wing, I've given in and bought an Ultra Pro binder.

I also spent £14 on a 100 sheet set for it. - I dunno if that's a waste of money or not, to be honest.

Started patterning a prototype 15mm house for FoW. Still have forest base blanks and those un- and half-painted undead on the table...

So much for clearing out the WIP projects. I think I have a problem.

Oh flipping heck...

That took a while. Between my Deadzone, Star Wars: X-Wing and Star Trek Attack Wing stats and rules cards. Of those 100 9-pocket pages.

I've used 92. Admittedly, not every pocket is full (I tried organising them as well). But, conservative estimates will be I have pocketed over 600 cards today. That's just plain ridiculous.

Today....

I am celebrating the return of the second of my many lost children; lost due to my crazed late-wife, who stole all of my miniatures (Books, clothing, furniture, artwork, music, guitar, Amps, stereo, etc...) and sold them to other crazed people.

Well... Last week, I discovered one of them (the second to date) on eBay, and today he arrived in the mail.

He was one of the very first miniatures I ever painted (within the first couple of dozen, out of thousands and thousands).

I am sitting with him, painting my newer Orcs and Great-Goblins from Thunderbolt Mountain, and talking about the Good Old Days, when he terrorized Player Characters in Glorantha, or Armies of Elves and Humans in great battles in one of my best friend's game room, as said friend complained about First Edition WHFB as I kicked his ass (the collection of Trolls, of which this miniature was one, was what helped - said friend was of the type who never played a game again that he lost.... )

Just having him back has been a HUGE INSPIRATION to paint miniatures.

Working on a counts-as Kantor to lead my Imperial Fists First Co, and ever-so-slightly loophope the rules by giving them Objective Secured (from his own rules while the army remains Unbound. Not the kind of thing I normally do, but the army is hardly broken as-is and is already using a lot of expensive/less-good stuff, so I doubt anyone will take issue. Also trying to summon the willpower to blast through the rest of my Corsairs; after a few days of painting very individualised Space Marines the prospect of Batch Painting is not an endearing one. Still, I'll stick on a good album and get through them!

@BeAfraid: glad to hear you've finally got something back!

Planning my return to hobby work... still debating if I want to work off of a playable list or just pick models/units on the random to work on... also still trying to figure out if I want to go for some work on Chaos Space Marines to go with my Chaos Daemons, some work on more Chaos Daemons to expand my current roster, or some work on Loyalist Marines to go back to my 40k roots.

I have taken entirely too long to finish painting these two. Think that might be a sign to put my paint queue away for a bit and do something else.

Not-Kantor is done, as are the last 5 Corsairs (just need basing). Not sure where to go next; I have some more Orcs and Gondor vets to finish for this month, a whole bunch of IF to work through, and plenty of other stuff (such as Star Wars and Deadzone) that demands attention but is not on deck at the moment. Might try and finish up my TIE Fighter squadron tomorrow, those only take about half an hour each.

Those super dungeon explore minis are always so cute and *always* so well painted. I dunno if It's just been random chance, if they attract good painters who take their time, or what the deal is... But they always look so great lol. Yours are no exception!

I almost wanna buy some and do basecoats+dip just to break the trend

I've done a fair bit of hobbying today.

I've cleaned up my Imperial Assault minis. I'd put the moldline level at some point below Mantic's restic, but notably worse than their Dreadball Xtreme plastic.

I've also tried to liquid greenstuff the huge gaps in the joins of a lot of the models (EG the arms). - I'm pretty sure that's done sweet f' all though, except obliterating some detail on the surrounding parts.

I had a bit of a hard time fitting the chin gun in on the AT-ST. - I ended up having to cut a wedge out of the gun at two of the sockets, so I could slide it in. Now that that's done though, it looks pretty darned neat. Especially remembering the time years ago when I tried to convert a metal hybrid 40k Armageddon Sentinel into an AT-ST, it's good to finally have a proper model.

I've also done a bit more reading of the Imperial Assault rules. Still needing to corral players into taking part in the campaign though.

And finally, I've done some more painting of my Dropzone Commander UCM starter models. Even now the main basecoat yellow and brown is done (Not even thinking about starting on the highlights anytime soon), there's still loads of work on the models too.

On the bright side, between doing all my hobby stuff today and yesterday, I've managed to get through the entire series of Constantine.

Working on my Imperial Guard some more in attempt to finish them by mid March. Started work on my first of 4 vehicles in my 1250 pts list but screwed up the inking horribly, WAYY too heavy. So I am going to work on that some and see if I can fix what I've done wrong.

Back into the Sector Imperialis on my days off. Maybe if my Secret Weapon order comes in I'll finish my Scarabs, Secret Weapon had a nice set of skulls, or Bag of Skulls they call it, I want the Scarabs to look more sinister, so I'm putting some skeleton bits and skulls on their bases to appear as though the Scarabs are devouring as they travel.

I got some more work done on my Necromancer's Apprentice & Co mini-project. Probably just a couple of hours of work left for the batch, if that.

I've also finished gap-filling my IllithiDragon/Skinny-Cthulhu, I'll be airbrushing it the next day I get a window of opportunity.

Today I... tidied my LotR minis on the shelves. That's it...

I blame my rediscovery of how awesome Primeval is and the resulting binge-viewing of DVDs. ...

Tomorrow, I want to possibly knock out some simple LotR stuff, paint a couple more Star Wars minis/ships and possibly do some more Imperial Fists.

Well, I caught the last two rounds of the LVO finals on twitch. Go 'Nids!

Yesterday I traded off my 2 blood angels halves of my deathstorm boxes for 2 tyranocyte boxes

Played my first game with a toxicrene yesterday, in my 4th week of my campaign battle, and the inquisition.

The guys who put the campaign together didn't think about banning the inquisition...so there's two AM armies running around that can go invisible and throw spirit leech (and one GK army running around with invisibility and some other crap from the same tree)

I'm trying to get my backlog of unassembled stuff to the point of at least being primed in the appropriate colour, so I've been working through my Bolt Action collection + new acquisitions.

Ordered new primer sprays for them so I'm moving on to assembling my Flames Of War Great War starter sets, which are in metal so it's so much nicer than messing with the plastic ones
