Just thought I'd post my termie BT conversions I've been working on. I had these beat up regular and lots of spare parts so I added some green stuff tabards, chains, paper greaves and scibor shoulders along with Grey Knight termie heads and these are what i got, I'm priming and basing tonight. I think the tabards came out good but need a few rough patches cleaned up before priming. I love those tiny chains. Any suggestions or comments welcomed...
Two things i was thinking of were a. More chains around the weapons/claws and b. cloaks... thoughts? maybe a heraldry shield on a small banner pole?

Very nice, I'm working on black templars at the moment as well...but for the most part my termies got greenstuff tabards made for them, these are amazing...maybe I should look for some fine chain for my guys as well..hmm

i got those chains at a local hobby shop, they are for sailing ship models. they are the smallest chains i have found to date but are absolutely perfect for Black Templar. I wrap them around bolt pistols and chain swords with little difficulty.

Really good looking, but you should consider covering the Grey Knight symbols with liquid green stuff or something.

the only Gk symbol is on the cheek of the TH head. its just a sword etched into the faceplate, I think its generic enough to pass for a sword brethren icon. other than that, what symbols are you referring to?

Looking good! I've found similar chains at Micheal's as well & used them to great effect. As for the sword symbology, it's fine I feel as GK don't have the market cornered on swords lol. But seriously, I've been known to use DA sword icons on my veterans in my IF armies to represent their veteran status since in the fluff IF are mentioned as having honor duels w/ swords & the icon shows they've been the victors of (at least) an honor duel.

I've got the chains from Michaels and these are actually smaller. A good place I've found that has a lot more variety is joaane's fabrics and crafts. There jeweling section is extensive and I found a cord that resembles twined rope as well as some nice chains from blue moon., As for the sword, my thoughts exactly. I can see the inquisition symbol being a problem but the gk termie box has so many bits and few actually have the I symbol. Even the crossed sword and book banners look cool enough for almost any chapter.

They are some of the best terminators I have ever seen! How did you make the robes? Have you got a tutorial on it?

Looks good painted. I like the dirty colour for the tabard. Very very tempted to try out something like this.
