Just recieved a phonecall from GW asking me to remove any GOM from my shelves. They are currently investigating the problem so i'm none the wiser as to why.
Have you had problems with the kit? Can anyone shed any light on this?
I've got 4 left and will be holding on to them for my personal use as long as they are not highly toxic/carcinogenic etc etc
I'll keep you posted as I know more.

Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.
Oli: But it fits through the doors, Look!

Guess it's the same as with the Killa can kit. Has spikes that may be harmfull to small chiuldren. Add a "for children 14+" sign and everything is okay.

Background: One institute has found this kit unsafe, GW now waits for a second examination by anothe rinstitute.

And I was going to pop into you soon to pick one up too!

If you can keep your head, while all about you are losing their's, then you have probably completely misunderstood the situation!

I just came back from my FLGS and he got the call while I was there. It's basically the same thing as with the cans - the kits are not recalled, he was told to hold onto them, but be ready to put a warning label (as already found on the Killakans) on them.
On a sidenote he also promised to put one aside for me, should he be forced to return them to GW

Do the city terrain kits get the same warning? Some of the spikes in that kit are deadly.

Its all about the spike to skull ratio... too many spikes per square inch and not enough skulls instead... made it unsafe.

I can understand you Kan. I was pretty close to buy one, just to be on the safe side... but then he promised to hold onto one copy, should anything more serious than a warning should happen

I'm sure a FLGS will use some common sense with enough grovelling. You're not 14 and your buying it for yourself.

They're probably going to resculpt it and put nice round skulls on top of all the spikes to make it child friendly. :p

Or maybe they'll recut the sprues and sell it for 40k, claiming it's a brand new terrain piece.

Yeah, they probably would. They tend to follow GW's word for the most part, so I can just put this terrain piece on my "watch" list to see when it comes back.

I'm surprised they don't have this on WHFB kits, entire regiments of upright spears can be lethal.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I got one last week, happy to sell it to you for what it cost me. So when i add standard GW shipping rates that means you owe me £450. Paypal or credit cards acceptable.

If you've never been bled by a Cities of Death building, you're not a true Warham.

My wife bought one of these sets which we haven't opened yet. So basically this thread is telling me that the plastic will try to kill me when I slice open the shrink wrap with my craft knife??

Recalled.

Not enough skulls.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Get out... Go on... the doors that way...

*facepalms*

Yes, its probably a recall due to parts of the kit being too sharp and they need to slap a warning label on it.
