He's saying it because it's true...I played to a level 29 in multiplayer, and it is just too much like MW2 and Black Ops (which itself felt like a reskinned MW2). Sure, they added killstreaks that don't reset on death, and they added a few new ones, but they really didn't change the game much to make it seem fresh. COD just keeps recycling the same game and releasing it. Beyond that, it uses the same engine as MW2, meaning the graphics show little to no improvement.

Bah, you mainstream gamers and your multiplayer...

Also, the statement that MW3 uses the same engine technically isn't true since it runs on an improved version of the MW2 engine...

Rofl, you're calling me a mainstream gamer while defending MW3? And sure, improved version, but same engine.

Well, With all the negative talk here, I sure can say somethings about battlefield3. In all the games in the world, MW3 is probobly the most anticipated game ever and this time it did not let many people down except for those few who will never change.

I think that the levels are too busy. They are very impressive but I feel you don't get to enjoy them as much as you could. I also don't like fight through a level and acheive nothing, the outcome already being hard coded.

But see, I used to be a big COD fan. I loved every COD, including COD4 and MW2. WaW I really didn't like because, like Black Ops, it felt like they took COD4 and put it in a different setting, without truly adding to the game. MW2, imho, was an incredible revamp of the game, with customizable killstreaks and all. MW3? Sure, it's one of the most anticipated games ever, but that's just because there are soooo many COD fanboys out there. They just didn't change the game at all, after clocking over a week of playtime into MW2, I was kind of bored of it. Since MW3 really isn't that much different, it's hard for me to get into it.

i still have mw2 so i thought i would be wasting money on buying a dlc... i did, and still do enjoy mw2 in small doses though.

You know its funny, I was accused of being a nerd by a kid who skipped class moday to play MW3. Now he brags about being level 46 in the multiplayer. After three days.

Emjoying the mulitplay at the moment. Happy to stick with my M16 and have it tooled up. Currently run it with an ACOG sight and grenade launcher. Once I unlock the extended mags I'll switch to ACOG and extended mags. Does the job nicely

For fun I'll sort out a custom light machine gun option at some point!

Spec ops survival is fun as hell on built up maps, got to round 18 on my first attempt at rank one

Spec ops survival is the ONLY good part...well that and private games......

Besides that, it's just MW2.5

Found this review on the same site...

Ratings seem pretty false to me. Here's why. Hatred and bias aside, I went in hoping for the best... ended up feeling moderately disappointed for a few hours and then vindicated. Yes it's very much more of the same, but the campaign is possibly the best in the series, spec ops is a good laugh (and challenge) and given the right mode, multiplayer is possibly the best it's been since the magic COD4. Of course, some players will skip the Campaign entirely and head online, fair enough... they like the competition more than the story (which is well worth playing for anyone who's played MW1 and 2).

So what's supposedly wrong with the multiplayer? Well, the maps are pretty cluttered. They're tight and they force you to think on your feet. Running around with reckless abandon is a sure fire way to lose your life... repeatedly. And that's just what I was doing when I dipped into my usual TDM (Team Deathmatch) mode right off the bat. It wasn't until I manned up and tried Hardcore TDM that I fell in love with the multiplayer. The guns in this mode are LETHAL (2 bullets more than enough to get the kill), add to that a lack of any real HUD and Map (until someone earns a UAV and your team gets the mini map for about 30 seconds) and you really have a more thoughtful and more old-school feeling COD experience.

This is where I will be spending most of my time. Whatever you might think of Activision, the people actually making the games are just dev's doing their best. The engine is showing it's age but only a fool would deny it's handsomeness (particularly the more outlandish moments in the campaign). It's a strong game, put your hate and bias aside, dig a little deeper. Enjoy the great campaign, spec ops/missions and find the right mode for you in the multiplayer. It all comes together because driving it is that perfect ingrediant for FPS's... devastatingly satisfying gunplay. Don't miss out just cause it's popular to hate.

For all those who have negative comments towards MW3, realize that this game has beat all movies and other video games in regardes to profit. Racking just under ten million copies sold in the first 24 hours (at $60.00 a pop). Those statistics alone prove the popularity of this game. MW2 made over 150 million dollars since its release in 2009. Furthermore, I would not put it past those who dislike Call of Duty seires to Create false reviews. I mean really, 6000 copies of MW3 were stolen....and leaked copies sold the day before release for over $1500.00. As for me, I am a big fan, and every one is entiteld to thier own opinion, but the margin speaks for itself. The elite server has already shut down do to the unexpected overwelming response of gamers playing on it. Also for those who will respond with....just because they sold that many dosent mean people don't like it......I went to game stop yesterday, not a single used copy on shelf, the day after battlefield came out, walked in and there were ten used copies for sale. In addition, most have played previous cod games, MW1, MW2, Black Ops, ect. and still bought the game, thus supporting the cod series. Even if the game has many similarities to MW2 the chance to play with new maps and equipment intices many and wont deter fans from continuing to support the cod series. Sorry BF3, ya couldn't beat the most popular series yet to hit the gamer world!

By your logic popular means best.
Therefore Tetris is actually the best game to ever exist.
