Hi there

Didn't know where to put this, so I put it here.

I registered onto bolter and chainsword in order to get feedback on my homebrewed space marine chapter. When I tried to make a topic, I got an error that said I couldn't post topics. I can't post replies or send PM's either. Nothing in the rules says anything about a lockout peroiod, so:

Has anyone had this happen to them before?
Could this be fixed just by creating a new account?

I might be able to help. What's your name on the B&C? I'm a member, and I can ask the mods there for you, if you like?

EDIT: Do you have to activate your account, I think that you may have to click a link in an email to confirm your account before you can post. I could be wrong though!

You may need a certain amount of posts (usually 10) before you can start threads. Standard procedure on many forums, it stops the spambots and trolls see?

Assuming you are using the same name on the B&C as you are here, when I look at your account it says "validating". This suggests to me that there is a confirmation email, and that you haven't activated your account. Check your email and spam, and if there is nothing there let me know and I can contact a mod for you.

I'm having a similar issue.

Created an account.

Normally, last step redirects me to a page where it says a confirmation email was sent. This is not the case on bolter and chainsword. Instead, it displays an error page and says I don't have access. Not confirmation email was sent. This page is present where ever I go on that site. Can't even log out to try again, same error message. I tried to email their admin for support, but the email failed to send.

Did a search and found this thread.

Created an account. Redirected to confirmation page. Checked email, responded and validated. I'm posting here without issue. Username and email should be the same on both sites, not sure what the issue is/was. Would love some help.

Holy carp, thst's a bad sign for interest in GW. Also, I never finished reading all the Dornin Heresy stuff. :(

Has anyone tried to ask these questions on BnC's facebookpage? We can't really help you out here on Dakka...

They are not gone. I just logged on to the Bolter and Chainsword and made a post. It still works. The site is still there. They did a site re-design about a year ago and they had plenty of server issues afterwards, but they seem to be fine now.

B&C down? Come to Dakka for help. We know how to fix it. We know how to fix everything.

Bolter and Chainsword obviously dosent want you. Dakka does, it cares about you.

Try clearing your cache/cookies/history. Then ALT+F4. Then try logging on again.

I believe that you can't make new threads there until you have 50 or so posts. It's an anti-spambot feature. However, you can reply to other people's threads.
