Well indeed, but it does limit their uses a bit in my book. If it was a bit more subtle I would consider it to be an excellent generic base.

They are really pricey as nice as they look. If I played Necrons, probably.
For that price tag, I'd probably just put the extra and grab Studio McVey bases:
