I don't follow. You mean you want to make a codex camelot but you have no idea where to start or what you want?

Maybe like the Null Sisters. They are wonderful swordswomen (you'd probably use swordsmen more if its camelot) but they aren't genetically buffed or anything.

Or was this meant for WHFB proposed rules?

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

Okay, I was just going to python this thread back to spamalot, but then I actually started thinking about it... I'll start -

Codex: Monty Python

HQs -

John Cleese:
BS4 WS6 S4 T4 I2 A1 W4 LD10 SV3+
Special Rules:
Independent Character
Fearless
Eternal Warrior
Wargear: Dead Parrot, Wafer Thin Wafer

Scene Stealer: Whenever any friendly model launches an assault, if John Cleese is unengaged, he immediately moves into coherency with the assaulting unit and joins the combat. At the end of any assault phase in which John Cleese was engaged in CC, he is removed from the table and redeployed immediately following the rules for deep strike.

Silly Walk: John Cleese has the Move Through Cover and Scouts special rules, in addition once each per game, John Cleese can move as if he were Cavalry, Jump Infantry, A jetbike, or a Fast Tank. While moving as a Tank, John Cleese can attempt to Tank Shock enemy models; and may attempt to ram vehicles. While Ramming Vehicles, John Cleese is considered to have a front armor of 12.

Wafer Thin Wafer: If John Cleese is in Base Contact with a enemy model with T6 or higher toughness, he may, instead of making his close combat attacks, make a single attack, and if it is successful, the unit must make a leadership test on 3d6. If the test is failed, the unit 'eats' the wafer (it may not be used again). If this occurs, place the large blast marker over the unit and deal a single s8 AP- hit to any model at least partially beneath the template.

Dead Parrot: The Dead Parrot is a power weapon that always wounds on a 2+.

...Yes. YES.

Heavy Support:

African Swallow
BS5 FA12 SA12 RA10
Fast Skimmer
Special Rules:
Migratory Coconut
Air-Speed Velocity
Small Target

Migratory Coconut - Everyone knows that Coconuts don't migrate - but it's perfectly acceptable that they may be carried by the African Swallow, as opposed to the weaker European Swallow. During the movement phase, any unit that the African Swallow moves over takes a number of hits equal to the amount of models that the base (60mm) moved over. This hit is Str 6, AP 3 and resolved as a shooting attack at BS 5.

Air Speed Velocity - Even a African Sparrow must flap its wings at a tremendous rate in order to stay aloft. A African Sparrow may move up to 24" in the movement phase.

Small Target - Being a Sparrow and all that, it gains a 5+ invulnerable save. Bloody difficult to shoot something that small moving that fast, even if it is carrying a coconut.

R: Unlimited S:5 AP:5 - Assault 1, Large Blast, Rending

Unsettling Animation:
At the start of any assault phase, even if he is locked in combat, Terry Gilliam may draw a weird picture that creeps everyone out; all models, friendly and enemy, within 18" of terry Gilliam, when this power is activated, have their leadership reduced to 4.

Depressing Film:
Psychic Shooting Attack: Terry Gilliam selects an enemy unit within 24" and forces them to watch "Tideland"; all models in the afflicted unit must individually pass a leadership test or commit suicide, removed as casualties with no saves allowed.

Goofy Smile: Terry Gilliams Goofy Smile is actually a rending close combat weapon that allows him to reroll failed to hit rolls.

Special Rules: IC,

Troops:

Suicide Squad; 2pts each

WS 2, BS 0, str 3, T 3, W 1, I 4, A 2, LD 2, SV -

Composition: 10-30 suicide soldiers

Wargear: Knives (CCW)

Specials:

Suicide Squad: If you ever need to take a morale check the entire unit must be removed as a casualty.

Well it could work as a cheap objective claimer or a meat shield?

Heavy Support:

Trojan Rabbit; 80pts

BS 0, F 10, S 10, B 10

Composition: One unique Trojan Rabbit (Transport).

Wargear: Nothing, it's but a peaceful gift.

Entry Points: One at the rear.

Transport capacity: 12

Specials:

Immobile: This vehicle counts as having an immobilised result that can not be repaired.

Infiltrate: It may infiltrate within 12 inches of an enemy or in LOS of an enemy. It may not be placed in range of an objective.

A Peaceful Gift: The rabbit may not be shot while it has a unit inside it.

So lancelot Ghalahad and I leap out of the rabbit taking the french by surprise and totally unarmed. Who leaps out?: The rabbit must have a unit embarked inside it. When this unit wants to leave the rabbit, it must roll a die. On the roll of a 4-6 the unit disembarks as normal, on the roll of a 1-3 the unit is placed back in reserve.

That is an unorthodox method of getting where you want to and no mistake.

OMG this just gets better and better.

Troop:

French Anti-Siege squad - 10PPM

WS3 BS3 S3 T3 W1 I4 A2 LD 10* SV4+

Special Rules:
Infiltrate

Wargear: Buckets of Offal*

The french Anti-Siege Squad must select a Grail-Bearing-Castle as a dedicated transport, and must always begin play embarked in it. If they are ever disembarked from the castle, their leadership immediately becomes a 6

Buckets of Offal:
R 18" S3 AP4 Heavy 1 Blast
Any unit suffering at least 1 wound from the bucket of offal must immediately Run Away, and falls back 2d6. The unit may Regroup at the start of it's controlling player next movement phase, but they'd better have a plan.

Grail-Bearing-Castle 250 Points
AV 14/14/14 Open Topped
Special Rules: Infiltrate, Immobile*, Ultimate Objective*, Crew Dependent*
Wargear: Massive Catapult

Immobile: The Grail bearing castle must deploy using the infiltrate USR, and once placed is immobiized and cannot be repaired.

Ultimate Objective: If for any reason, the Grail-Bearing-Castle does not contain a French Anti-Siege Squad, it is considered stunned and counts as an objective. If the Grail-bearing-Castle is destroyed, it is worth 2 kill points.

Massive Catapult:
R 48" S8 AP3 Barrage 4 Large Blast Ordinance
Shots fired by the massive catapult always scatter the full 2d6, even if a Hit is scored on the scatter die. The scatter distance cannot be reduced by any means. Once per game, if there is an enemy vehicle (especially a trojan rabbit) within 12" of the castle at the start of the Castle's controlling player's movement phase, that vehicle may be removed from play and redeployed by the castle owner's player following the deep strike rules. If the deep striking vehicle comes in contact with any models either due to placement or due to scatter, those models must "Run Away" and immediately fall back 2d6; if the entire unit cannot fall back far enough to avoid being in contact with the catapulted vehicle, it is destroyed.

A bit wordy but here goes

The Knights of Ni

BS: 0 WS: 5 S: 4 T: 4 W: 1 I: 4 A: 1 LD: 10 SV 4++

6 Knights of Ni

The Knights of Ni are lead by the Head Knight who shares the same profile as the other Knights however, due to being 12 feet tall, is treated as a Monstrous Creature.

Wargear:

Herring

Herring:

KING ARTHUR: Cut down a tree with a herring? It can't be done.

The Herrings of the Knights of Ni are no mere fish and King Arthur would have been amazed should he have accepted the challenge, for they are imbued with the power of the Sacred Words.

The Herring acts as a force weapon that disregards perils of the warp results. The Herring was simply limp at the time.

Special Rules:

We want... a shrubbery! :

KING ARTHUR: O Knights of Ni, you are just and fair, and we will return with a shrubbery.
HEAD KNIGHT: One that looks nice.
KING ARTHUR: Of course.
HEAD KNIGHT: And not too expensive.

Many an unwary traveller has encountered the Knights of Ni and lived to tell the tale. On many occasions this has been down to the Knights love of Shrubberies.

In the movement phase should an enemy unit move within 6” inches of the Knights of Ni they may make a Shrubbery demand against this unit.

The enemy unit must take a leadership at -1 for each Knight of Ni there is in the squad. Should the unit fail they must move towards the nearest wood or foliage scenery on the board. If there is no scenery of this type on the board they must move to the next table or back garden until they are in contact with something Green and plant like. Orks do not count, even though they are mushrooms. When the unit has reached this they must then move back towards the Knights of Ni to give them their offering. Once the Shrubbery is taken by the Knights the enemy unit must move D6 away from the Knights, thankful to be alive. The same unit may not be affected by this rule if they are in possession of shrubbery.

The unit moves as normal in the movement phase, but may only run towards the scenery piece in the shooting phase and may only assault themselves, as they argue about what sort of shrubbery they should get.

Keeper of the Sacred Words:

HEAD KNIGHT: We shall say 'ni' again to you if you do not appease us.

The Knights of Ni are keepers of the Sacred Words Ni, Peng and Neee-Wom. These words are so evil and foul that when spoken aloud they cause enemies nearby panic, great pain and even death.

The words are spoken in the shooting phase and act as a shooting attack without the need to roll to hit or wound. Each enemy unit within 6” of the Knights is able to hear the spoken Sacred Word and each member in those units must take a Leadership test. Those that fail the test are removed from play as casualties, either due to heart failure or soiling themselves.

The Sacred Words are so dastardly that even units with Fearless and And They Shall Know No Fear want to run away back to their mummies. These special rules and any like it are therefore ignored.

Words they Cannot Hear:

ARTHUR: How can we not say the word, if you don't tell us what it is?
HEAD KNIGHT: You said it again!

The Knights of Ni keep many words of power however there are words that affect them the same way ‘It’ being chief amongst these. Thankfully for the Knights, there are few beings which are aware of this.

Any enemy unit with ‘It’ in its codex entry causes the Knights of Ni to take a Keeper of the Sacred Words test against itself if read aloud. This can happen in any phase, yours or your opponents or if Ted on the table next to yours reads it out aloud.
