50 jokearo and inquisitor lord coteaz total 1850pts. Assuming you could get the models together relatively easily, would you run this army? Be honest.

Also what is your appraisal of this army?

I'm thinking that this would be a scary gunline army that folds to anything deepstriking onto it.[user]

On a boat, Trying not to die.

Would I run it? Hell yes. For fun, of course.

Appraisal? I'm going to get ROFLSTOMPED every time I play.

I'd play it for novelty reasons. For regular gaming I'd stick to the orks.

With that many, you most likely aren't going to get any of their bonuses because there are too many in a squad. Also, Emperor protect you if an assault unit even looks at this army funny.

I would run it in a 2000 point list, but I would lose a few monkeys and get them some chimeras to ride around in. This way they can run if they have to and have the extra protection of their metal boxes. Besides, if anyone actually lines up an army against you they are going to eat lascannons in the face. Also, if they don't get close enough to assault without you shooting they get to drink 50 heavy flamers worth of promethium.

I love the smell of monkeys in the morning.

For this reason alone. Though I'd use conversions instead of actual jokareo, I'm thinking sharks.

I wouldn't, because it's fething stupid in the 'best' Ward way..

If i want to play an army of space monkeys i would play another game.

And that's without considering it's cheese content

In a tournament i'd have no choice, but would dislike playing opposite it. In a friendly game, no.

I will grant that it is massivelysilly, possibly stupid, however I doubt that it is actually cheesy. At 35 points a model and BS 3? If they were 40pts and bs4, then wse could talk cheese.

Just reminds me of the song "we didn't start the fire". When I was little I always thought the line in the song was "space monkey mafia", I later found out that it was "space monkey, mafia", but I liked it better the first way. Punctuation can be quite important.

In the grey knights codex, you may take jokearo weponsmiths as part of an inquisitorial warband, and you can take up to 12 models in the warband, and there is nothing keeping you from taking all jokearo (other than common sense). Inquisitor Lord Coteaz allows you to take inquisitorial warbands as troop choices. This is how you make a monky army, and why a couple players I know call coteaz the zookeeper.

A 50 lascannon 1st turn lascannon barrage isn't cheesy? Apparently not

Its limberger, dude

Don't deploy against it. It's good but it's so easy to out play, and the army is lacking in so many other areas.

I think it's a pretty fun army idea. Not good, but fun.

It would lose almost every game, so no, I would not play it.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

50 Lascannons would be cooler if it could shoot more than 6 targets. Those 6 targets? Probably dead.

I think the "Stop the Planet of the Apes! I Want to Get Off!" army has some merit as a fun gimmick list. I would definitely play it against a few opponents just to see how it does, but I wouldn't make it my regular army.

I don't intend to deploy against it, unless i'm forced to

I wouldn't mind seeing someone else play vs it though. It would be hilarious to run a daemons army against t, if the dice were rolling hot

No, I wouldn't as an Xeno inquisition force would hit my view of the 40k universe in the face. Just a silly Wardism that everyone should ignore.
