Finished this squad off today. I'm still waiting on a Space Hulk Claudio model from the client to add to the unit.

Very impressive. As mentioned the face is a really nice focal point – excellent brushmanship!

Amazing! These are best painted black templars i have ever seen! And that LC "sergeants" left shoulder pad... nice...

The sergeant does look wicked. His right shoulder pad especially. The only thing detracting from him, for me, is the cloth. It might just be the picture but the blending doesn't look totally smooth there. It seems like it could use a few coats of really watered down paints to smooth things over and make the color change a little bit more of a gradient. I'm really just nitpicking there though, the squad looks awesome.

Very, very nice. I love the gradient white.

BTW this was just featured by GW on facebook. http://www.facebook.com/gamesworkshopofficial

It's spelled "cavalry." NOT "calvary."

In close up, you can see more clearly that these are definitely tabletop, not display pieces:

They're the highest end of tabletop though really. Script, freehand, battle damage, effort bases, etc. They're cool.

That's a nice gold, by the way, did you use burnished?

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

No, VMC bronze over black, devlan wash, highlight with a mix of VMC old gold and VMA silver.

I thought it looked brighter than I've ever been able to get burnished, thanks - I'll have to try VMC gold

What table are you playing on??? The desk of the gods???

These are absolutely fantastic...I think if I turned up to my local games club with models painted like these and said they were painted to a tabletop standard...they'd lynch me 0.O

The shoulder pauldrons on your assault terminators really make the models look great. They micro-detailing on the sergeant's shoulder pad looks excellent.
The whole squad looks great!
