I've been collecting space marines for a while now and am thinking of starting another army in the foreseeable future. I like the look and feel of the grey knights but are a bit to pricey. What is a good army that won't cost me too much?

If you think Grey Knights are too expensive, little else will do.

With Terminator/Paladin troops, they are among the cheapest of armies to get going.

GW does a few Megaforce deals for christmas. Since you already do Space Marines, have a look at Dark Eldar

Finally, a gamble might be buying one or two of the currently still very good value Tau-Boxes, start painting and hope their rumored new Codex will be good and soon.

Draigowing is the de-facto cheapest army in the game.

I'm currently building a SanguinaryWing army, and I'm amazed at how cheap an army it is. But Draigowing can still make a convincing army out of Draigo and 2 GKT boxes.

12 terminator=100$ +
4 squads of kabalite= 120 dollars
2 sr or lr=120$

See a reccuring trend?

What he said.

Buy 3 GKT boxes, convert Draigo, and wala! $150 1300+ pt army! Get some cheap AoBR dreads, convert 3 riflemen, and for $200 USD you got yourself a competative army

Of course you need a libby terminator too ..... >.>

TBH, these days for a 1500-2000pt army you generally have to budget at least around £200-£300. (Around AU$300-AU$500 or more.)

There are of course exceptions to the rule, like this Draigo, assming all it needs is the 3 boxes of Grey Knights Terminators, Draigo and the Codex that's under £120, while something like a Dark Eldar Coven or Eldar Wraithguard force will both run you around £500.
