Hi guys,
Finished the work on this piece today.
I spiced it up with a lot of FW stuff, some ornaments and a good amount of extra pieces.

Smoke Launcher is magnetised in case you wonder why it is turned sideways. Haven't realized it while taking the pictures.

Tell me what you think about it.

Greetings.

Yeah.. Just in case I want to exchange it for something different. ^^
And I had a little spare green stuff from magnetising the sponsons.

Excellent tank...it looks like it has seen a lot of battles. Thought of adding some battle damage?

I will definetly add some weathering and battle damage, but more painting wise than modelling wise. I have no experience at it and I do not want to ruin my centerpiece vehicle ^^

Beautiful work, but the Melta barrels look a bit small for that turret.

I like the turret addition very much. Personally not so keen on the guy with all the bling hanging out the top of it myself.

What do you use this as? And are the non-FW extra parts (winch, ladder, etc) from the Baneblade or something else?

Congrats on getting the FW armour bits to fit right (something that rarely happens without much work).

You left a bare spot, though.

Seriously, is there any space on that thing that you didn't excessively over-bling-up? It's a battle-tank, not some rapper's blinged out ride.

Not my favourite conversion - it seems accomplished enough, but it is like the vast majority of 40k stuff - too over-ornamented for the sake of being over-ornamented.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

Valkyre:
You made a point there. Maybe I build some bigger barrel for it.
Thanks for pointing it out.

Scipio:
I'm not sure where the bits derive from. I just ordered them from a bits shop.

If you refer to the turret. It's used as the optional multimelta.
The model itself is a Landraider Crusader

Chromedog:
It actually WAS a lot of work to make it fit. The parts were bent and it needed a lot of shaving on the model itself to remove things which were in the way. It was a pain. ^^

About the amount of decoration.
I guess that is a matter of personal taste, but looking at the fluff of the BA they have a close relation to art.

Just have a look at the Death Company kit and the Space Hulk Terminators, not to mention the Sanguinary guard. They are pimped out to the max.

So I followed this dogma of the BA being the masters of bling and decorated my vehicles and infantry accordingly.
Just have a look at my gallery and you see what I'm talking about.

Don't get me wrong. I'm also susceptible to the beauty of a battle worn fighting warmachine with no decoration at all besides some army marking, but I go the other way with this army.

And for it being the centerpiece of the army carrying these guys it has a reasonable amount of bling.

My only qualm is the smoke launcher facing sideways. Other than that, I love what you've done with it, and thank you for drilling your barrels!

No worries. Smoke launcher is magnetised. I didn't realize that it faced the wrong direction while taking the pictures.

I drill all barrels. At least if I have the right drill bit at hand. They often get lost in the chaos of my working place. ^^
It just looks so much better and it'ts only a little effort.

Actually, I feel that aside from the fuel tanks, and BA icon on the turret, most of the extra bling would be toned right down once the model is painted and becomes a mostly-uniform colour.
