I am loving everything I see coming out of Dreamforge. I hope business grows for them because I'd love to see the other races soon.

If you think this is the best interior detailed kit evar, You should look into some proper model kits. Especially some of the better Japanese ones.

Az is correct. Some of the current Armour models would blow even this away. I'm not that up on the current Japanese kits, unless you're referencing the recent Takom WW1 tanks and stuff.

Having said that, however, this is easily the best gaming model out there or it will be once it hits the wild!

I would love to get my hands on the 3 I have coming. I will probably have to buy a set of the Black Widows in addition to the set I have coming, just so I can convert one of the APCs to their personal transport. Mark has said to me that there will be a number of female legs on the sprues to do female troopers sat inside them, but I don't know if there will be enough in 3 to produce a full set of females.

So looking forward to stretching my muscles on spending at least as much time and attention on the inside as I do the outside.

Yes, for a gaming model, this is amazing! if it was as detailed as a Tamiya kit, the cots per model would be sky high

It looks great , but I just checked the kickstarter comments section and there's been no activity on it in almost a month, even then it was a Dakkadakka personality postin . Marks last update in the comments was back on feburary26th of 2014, I know there's updates, but for the creator to go this dark for that long.... I know the stuff is coming, I know it's great, I know I will buy more, but something inspiring needs to happen before another kickstarter for dreamforge/WGF happens for me to back it again.

Sorry to keep calling you out Mark, but as a backer I feel an obligation.

I'm glad he at least pops in here from time to time..........but I feel bad for any backers that aren't DakkaDakka members, or don't do Facebook like myself. Seriously if your going to use kickstarter then you should post any follow ups there as well. I know we've gotten updates, but answering some questions in the comments section should also happen.

I only backed for 15mm Mortis and arms. The wait goes on

True, I didn't even consider model kits. I'm sure they have more detailed interiors etc.

When's Chinese New Year?

Chinese New Year is in Feb (usually, lunar calendar and all that) but October is the National Day holiday.

I think that holiday just passed, Kyoto.

I appreciate this update- progress is steady, and I think we all knew end of the year was a more likely mark than October. Almost there!

In fairness, that policy has held in him in good stead lo these many months.

From my understanding, most of the time is in the lead-up to T1 and approval, right? As in once that part is done and the molds produce the right model and the instructions are right the actual production run is a day or two per kit. If that is the case and they really are air-freighting the shipment over, I can see the end of the year. There's only 3 kits to get to that point, which two of them are nearly done. Figuring a week or two for the entire outstanding production run and I don't see a whole lot of unicorns and sunshine to that December estimate.

At the same time, as Adam said about KD:M...so months they finish 8 kits, other months they finish zero. If something else chews up the work cycles in the interim, Az might have been very wise to not specify a year.

Heh. My last major predictions were in 2013 when people were hoping for mid-year, and I was "no way, December at best", and this year, when I assumed mid-year until we got to May with no real movement, when I shifted to "December if we're lucky, after CNY 2015 if we're not" and then to "we're not going to see anything in 2015, guys. Which is more or less where i still am now.

Of course, as we get closer to December, I'll revise "after CNY 2015" to "hopefully June. -ish."

Now, it's mid-October. There's no chance of this being out this year. 6 weeks till the start of Dec? Delays in China's customs and shipping? Apple reserving all/a lot of the air freighting for their new iPhones? Remember how long it took WGF just to pack SWM's already-made stuff into the boxes (after the weeks-long bs of finding some boxes). May as well add another month just for that... Also, once it gets to WGF in the US, they have to actually sort orders and send them out.

It ain't happening, guys, not in 2015...

Honestly I have come to the point where I don't really care any more. This has taken so long I have really lost interest in the models.

Yeah, that's not snark. After our New Year would be my "best case" estimate, but there's no reason I'd be surprised when it turns up after CNY.

Look at how well every other date has worked. When Mark said they were going to suddenly be with us in October I just laughed. 6 weeks 'till December starts. Now look at these two production updates. Bear in mind when he sent out the first, that Mark was saying "October delivery".

Remember. Even after it all goes green, there's packing and shipping and so forth. Can't be teleported over from China, and we're getting into the Christmas period shortly. There's all that about Apple booking "all" the air freight out of China for 2 weeks or more, and even if it's not all, something like that causes a huge backlog for everyone else's stuff in a ripple effect. The alternative being sea freight - and if WGF sees this stuff's not going to make it into the distribution chain in time for Christmas sales, then it would make sense for them to say "feth it" and go the cheaper option. *Note: I don't put stock in anything Mark tells us that China says to him regarding dates.

And if it goes by sea then don't forget all the time in customs, and the looooooooonng trip from L.A. To their facility .

Which presumably doesn't happen if they air freight it over?

The distance from whatever airport to Mark and the distance from whatever sea port to Mark seems to me to be the only difference the different methods will have apart from the actual travel times. The time it spends in customs should be the time it spends in customs, whether it came by sea or air, if they decide to inspect it, it'll take longer than if they let it through. And if it's such a long trip from the sea port, as you are suggesting, then maybe it'll get put on a train and arrive as quickly as being on a truck from somewhere closer.

Is that not possible at least?
