Hi Dakka after a long break!
I'm glad to introduce my LEGO Leman Russ battle tank!
It's done in Lego Digital Designer program and was modeled after the 5th edition LR.
I wanted to make a minifigure-scale LR, so I tried to focus on size rather on details.
Here it is, armed with a battle cannon, a lascannon and two sponson-mounted heavy bolters:

The tank has a detachable top so you can see the interior:

Besides pilot and control panels, it has some tools and a fire extinguisher. I know that the LR crew is far more than two persons but I couldn't put six minifigures into the tank. Maybe it's an advanced AdMech-powered LR with gunner servitors.

That's pretty cool, but I would probably use a different turntable for the turret. There's an old Lego bit I remember pretty well which was a turntable but only a 2x2 piece, instead of that big cylindrical one you have right now. That would lower the turret significantly and make the tank look better.

Anyway, just some thoughts from an old Lego maniac.

For scale, you just made it scale with the GW miniature. GW has said their vehicles are not to scale with their other models.

You could make a scale LRBT with the 6 dudes inside, and you could use that larger turntable without it looking odd.


I think a true scale lego LRBT would be awsome.
