My army list curerntly includes a squad of Havocs with 4 Autocannons.. I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of money, to buy 4 Havocs box sets, just to get 4 (metal.. urgh!) autocannons.

Just wondering if anybody has any ideas, or better yet, pictures of their own, for conversions or bits to use for autocannons, on a space marine scale.

I've got a couple of ideas, and got some advice from some people I know, but I'm sure there's others out there who have needed to do this..

Bits look like a psycannon and an autocannon barrel. Kind of pricey but they look freaking sweet.

The simplest conversion i've seen is just to add an autocannon barrel to the HB base model. You should be able to take off the most identifiably HB bits relatively easily.

Just watch ebay, these models come up often and cheap. I still can't believe they stopped selling individual heavy weapon blisters but I guess I shouldn't underestimate this company's stupid potential.
Failing that an IG autocannon can be made to work, and I'm eager to see these on a model:

That is a really sexy autocannon, what a good idea.

Real simple way to do that produces pretty good results (I feel) is to take the CSM heavy bolter & lop off the barrel & replace it w/ the barrel of an IG heavy stubber:

You can actually use IG cannons and the bolter-grip arms. Just make it's under-slung (like the terminator assault cannon) and add a grip-rail for the left hand, and be sure to shorten the darn thing down.

For mine i used the ig hw set auto cannon, 4 plastic heavy bolters from the chaos marine kits, cut off the trigger from the bolter and glue it onto the auto cannon, reduced the barrle length add a daemonic mouth, and a chainsword bayonett.
