So here i am, having completed my first unit of clanrats (pictures coming soon) And now i want to expand the backstory of my Skaven! Im thinking along the lines of a break away clan with ties to the 4 great clans (for the units they [provide) SO FAR i have given them swamp bases and i like the idea of them emerging from the wilderness.

So if you have any ideas as what to name the clan or what direction you think i should go in please let me know!

In the skaven heraldry book there is a minor clan that lives in the forests / swamps of Lustria. Clan Spittl, I believe, uses a lot of lizardmen weapons/armor/skins in their make up. My google-fu is failing me as I'm sure I have the spelling wrong, but they might be worth a look?

Full new idea has come to me today involving my Skaven living deep in the forrest, inside a giant rotting tree, with the skaven living deep inside the tree and within its roots (thus they will have lots of wooden items and allso the metal they do have will be old and worn)

Anyone like the idea?

A friend of mine used the name Clan Trisk.

Trisk was taken from Triskaidekaphobia, a fear of the number 13, a total homerun for Skaven fluff. :p

That's pretty awesome lol. I'm also at the point of making some fluff for my skaven 'pre-painting' to set the theme but id never of thought that one out xD

Mine is Clan Morsus, which if I recall roughly translates to Clan Bitey.

To be... semi unoriginal and follow my personal naming conventions to give you a suggestion(s) -
Clan Senex Nemus. Translates to 'clan of the old tree'
Clan Nemorosus ( Clan wooden )
Clan Arbormus ( Clan Tree Vermin )

Ohhhh i do like those names, very nice indeed! may i ask where you getting the translations from? Im thinking Clan Senex Nemus, its rather cool!

I pick something with a vague relevence then translate it to latin

The league itself is a friendly just being run by one of the GW guys in store, there's about 13 or so of us playing though 8 of us from fantasy will be heading out to Nottingham GW flagship to take part in a large tournament event that basically puts the different stores against each other.

I honestly don't know of the names I only have dates xD
