Hey folks.

I finally finished my GK army to a full 1500p and took a picture in high resolution (click if you want to zoom on individual units, it's possible to zoom in quite close without pixelated effect).

Hope you like them!

Amazing. One of the best GK armies I've seen. Just amazing.

Looks awesome. I'm always amazed at how few models you actually need to field a GK army.

Wonderful work on the metallics and power weapons. I especially like the stormraven cockpit. Great execution on a very cohesive army! Nice pic too... that's some setup for such a wide shot.

Stunning work! The red looks especially deep and smooth to me, the OSL with the eyes looks so good that I'm tempted to risk trying it on my (similarly colored) space wolves. Its inspirational to see such a well painted 1500 point army when I'm working towards finishing my own 1500 points. You've done a terrific job with some really great new models.

Thanks for the kind words folks

Yeah, I was happy that it didn't require me to paint that many infantry though. Those new plastic grey knight kits are quite detailed compaired to some of the other GW kits I also worked on. It's worthwhile to pick them all out though, as they are all about the bling bling imo.

The shot was taken in a product photography white pop-up tent with black velvet background. This lightbox is then lit with 2 x 500W tungsten lightbulbs and the camera was a DSLR, so there was some good kit needed to get these sort of army shots that look decent enough. It's never completely possible to get everything in focus, but this shot did work.

Oh, and I did blow some smoke from my sigar into the lightbox to soften the light even further. It's not supernoticable, but it does create a more dramatic atmosphere then without the smoke....

love the glowy eyes on all the infantry - it brings them alive.
Great weathering too.
Shame I'm using a notepad as it's hard to look at the whole picture in detail - I will have a better look when I get home.
Nice one & thanks for sharing.

Check out my gallery here
Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

I thought that, 1500 points, wow.

Thanks. I did try to bring a bit of variation in the unit selection to avoid the typical "net list spam" that you usually find. As time progresses, I will be able to field more duplicates and to create hypercompetitive builds, but for now... It's more of a hobby army then a hardcore curbstomper of a list.

Also, thanks for the people who voted in the gallery. That's a real motivation to continue painting this force.
