How worth it is he? Can I transport him and I read he has rending and a decent strength rating but if he's an IC I dun need him XD and can I jump pack him =D

You can't put a jump pack on him. I think he's a decent power house. I plan to put him w/ a set of terminators in a land raider to clear off and objective. He has to foot slog so I think if I park him near an objective, he can contest until help arrives...

Run him with Terminators, or, if you are crazy, stick him in a squad of Death Company. Either way, run them in a Land Raider of some form.

Stick him in a honor guard with power weapons and a chapter banner and a chaplain. Or a liby with unleash rage and give all the attacks to Seth and watch him go to town.

SO overall he's worth a buy? And so is a libby then? hmmm I was looking at his color scheme (the fleash tearers) and MAN i LOVE THAT SCHEEEEME lol and I have mephy and dante on the way but I thought he might be good and I heard he has a whirlwind attack? so him with termies and a land raider....hmmmm

Id run Seth and Libby for sure. Libby is a mobile HQ, Seth the crazy CC HQ. I'm planning on putting him with Assault Terminators. The land Raider would soften anything up and then when Seth and Terminator squad get there then they can finish it off. A libby w/ a jump pack and Seth cost 290ish? So for 50-60 points you get a second HQ.

Dante is 225, Mephiston 250.

And you could take that barrier with the priest right? So seth gets out with extra attacks a barrier and 5 CC termies and a land raider with him? lmfao...

You could try and make a death star unit w/ unleash rage from the libby and you could use the Shield power and throw a cover save bubble.

He may have a S8 rending weapon, but it doesn't ignore invulnerable saves, which limits his utility to vehicles, monsterous creatures with poor saves, and multi-wound T4 models with poor saves. For everything else, there are better options.

Furthermore, with no jump pack, his mobility is extremely limited for a model that needs to get into close combat to do anything. You could put him in a transport, but the ones that really support him (landraider and storm raven) are very expensive, and the units that use those best don't really synergize all that well with Seth.

Honestly, not worth the points. Would not recommend him unless you were using him for fluff purposes.

I don't plan on using him in games under 1750, but for bigger games, I think he is very useful for what he does. It all comes down to how the player wants to play. The lack of mobility is what scares me but I want to try it in the LR w/ the Assault Terminators...

Honestly, the terminators would be better accompanied by a Reclusiarch or Chaplain. Cheaper than Seth, and the bonuses they give the unit will ultimately result in much more damage than Seth could do.

If Seth had a bigger base and was more survivable, he'd make a decent Horde killer, and if he had a power weapon, he'd make for a great beatstick, but as it is, he just doesn't really do anything incredibly well enough to justify his cost. His lack of mobility helps to seal the deal.

It's not like he's bad or anything, he's just not any good. It's a real shame too, since if he weren't so unfocused and were given some slight modifications, he'd be really good.

How do I get a reclusiarch? I still haven't figured that out. I have a chaplain but what makes him a reclusiarch? and would I be better off instead of the termies and land raider just going with the extra assault marines and a rhino because I have a storm raven atm and I was gonna use lemartes DC and a furioso on the storm raven and just drop them in and watch the fireworks start.

A Reclusiarch is just a higher chaplain. Just model it a little different from your current chaplain. In my honest opinion, you can't ask for exact answers here. We can point you in a direction but until you play and learn from it, then you'll never know...

lol I'm just trying to finish out the army and get the best possible results! I'm defnitely looking hard at the libby-seth piling out termies XD thta just sounds like the scariest thing ever and a libby in termie armor omg XD looovei t!

Is there any way of converting termies into cc termies without having to buy the new set? cos i really like the idea of using seth with cc termies. Also would a sanguinary priest be a good idea for fnp and furious charge (fnp with termies!!!)

2 questions- 1, does seth become strength 9 with charge or pointless strength 5 which is pointless.
2, do pf or TH terms become strength 9 (double 4 =8 + 1 =9) or strength ten ( 4+1 = 5 doubled =10)

Seth stays at S8. Furious Charge increases his strength, but his sword always strikes at S8. Although his counterattacks will be at S5.

Powerfists and Thunderhammers strike at S9 with Furious Charge.

And the terminators and assault terminators kits are both separate.
