Hy dakka-again
So what do you think-after you go flat out with a skimmer(or BA rhino etc.) can you pivot the skimmer so he will face another position ,other tahn it moved? It would be useful if you go Flat out and then pivot so you would no have your back AV on the enemy

Moving Flat Out has no effect on the vehicle's ability to pivot as it moves.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I though you had to move in a straight line to get flat out save?
Though I do see how you just say you pivoted after the straight line move, just sounds a bit underhanded to me.

There is no such requirement in the rules.

It's possibly also worth pointing out that moving Flat Out only cofers a save to skimmers (as they count as obscured). This doesn't apply to other Fast vehicles... the only benefit they get from moving Flat Out is that they can move further than non-Fast vehicles.

On the other hand, non-skimmers flat-out vehicles don't suffer a "wrecked" result when they roll a 4 on the damage table. So there is that.

But it is a common misconception, along with thinking bikes have to go straight ahead if they Turboboost. I can't recall ever reading such a requirement even back when all the codexes had their own TB rules under bikes, but someone always remembers it being so.

Bikes turbo-boosting have to end their move at least 18" from their starting position to claim the cover save.
Tank shock moves have to be in a straight line.
Ramming has to be as fast as the vehicle can go.

Those are the somewhat-similar rules which people may be thinking of when they get confused about this.

Pivoting does not count as moving as said in the BRB... so you can pivot after going flat out, or turbo boosting.

Not exactly, Pivoting is movement, it just does not count as movement for purposes of how many weapons can be fired from a vehicle that only pivoted.

You can turn any number of times as you move, so pivoting whist moving flat out is within the rules, as Flat out, and Turbo-Boost, do not restrict you to a straight line.
