Wow, he looks great. I think you'd have been fine with the stomach tattoo as the arm one is great.

The one thing I would suggest is a bit more contrast between the fingers on his left hand as there's more contrast in some of the folds on his stomach

endtransmission - Cheers. My heart really wasn't into the tat so adding an even larger one is a no no. I actually like the expanse of plain flesh.

I agree the fingers need more contrast...I'll get that done along with some chippinh on the axe this week...or next week.

prime12357 - Thanks. I've now got my head into building the crusader, priest, priests assistant and a random skull collecting bounty/mutie hunter/killer so touching up the paint may very well happen after these guys are built or as a change next week. Ah well we shall see.

Can't wait to see what you come up with, I'm especially anxious to see how the group dynamic pulls together.

Kinda had a break from modelling etc for the last few weeks. It was fun to get up this morning and finish the second member of the Witch Hunter's retinue. The Crusader is finally together.... I hate waiting for GS to cure. The shield is not actually glued in place at the moment, I'll have to paint it separately to get to the detail on its rear and of course the actual crusader himself.

Super work! Love it mate , your Inquisitorial retinue is just too cool. I see that you decide not to make the two handed sword guy with that chest piece, the only piece i recognize is the shield , hope you didn't have to spend too much to get that lovely thing.

neil101 - It was very tempting to give him the double handed sword but I need to finish my witch hunters for next years Inquisitor Inqvitational. Hmmmmm the shield cost me the price of Rex and his Retinue. I'll eventually get round to painting Rex but he'll be getting either a psycannon or a storm bolter.

Farty Wiffmas - Cheers but there are no bionics on his head. It is more parchment wax sealed to his head....I'm going for a John B vibe.

Rogue Wolves - Thanks. The Daemon Pike is a combination of Grey Knight warding staff and the Dark Elf dragon riders lance. So very nicely barbed

I started work on a mutie hunter/killer yesterday after finishing the crusader and watching Tintin (loved the books as a child and enjoyed the film as an adult). Using parts from the empire archers sprue and a ton of skulls cut from chaos lord zhufor! Hope you give us some necro goodness soon...I miss the eye for detail blog.

dsteingass - Everyone should start work on a 28mm Inq warband! But it would be better to have a finished board to play on so finish the board first!

HF Izanagi - The static poses are meant to be a counter to the Radical Inquisitor I started but have yet to finish. I'm quite enjoying it, is a bit different. The mutie killer has a bit more movement but I'm aiming for a slow walk. I'm looking forward to them being completed. I need to have it all done by March 13th for the Ammo Bunker bash were Molotov and I will be having a game.

Now come on GW please release St Celestine in fine cast so I can attach her torso to the fine cast vampire legs I've got for my Inquisitrix!

Agreed with everyone having to start a Inq28 warband (I recently fell to the curse!). I can't wait for you to put even more detail on your bits of parchment; it will really take your models to the next, even higher, level!

PDH get macropens they are awsome, they are good for writing, detailing, even eyes. I say they are a great tool to use

Hey Peter, no worries about the eye for detail, while business is still not calming down, I'm going to get back into the flow now.

I've had several compensatory shopping sprees lately, to make up for my lack of hobby activity, so I've bought two new lamps with high class daylight bulbs (wanted those for a long time for better fotographing and painting), the gw mega paint set, the full set of secret weapon washes (hasn't arrived yet though, bloody shipping USA/Ger), some paint racks to keep everything tidy and on monday I will finish it off by buying a truckload of ikea furniture, to better organize my room in order to make room for an additional desk, because the old one barely offers enough space for all my colors and brushes now. Oh and today I stopped by at a friends place and kindly took a pack of power armored GK, a FW renegade dog handler and two of the new necron lords of his hands. Those are the moments when I think it's hypocritical to make fun of women and their sweet spot for shoes (while my fiancé actually prefers handbags and jewelry).

Anyway I've also not been idling all the time, I tested a new scheme for my tau army and started painting my dreadfleet ships. I'm in the mood for painting and I also really mean to get back into my PMW entry, it weighs heavily on my conscience (which doesn't make continuing any easier).
So wish me luck... or time... or discipline...

I had to build a second desk for painting too to keep myself a proper, dedicated bench for modeling. Daylight bulbs are your best friend.

I actually don't do any modelling on my painting table, I have an extra workshop upstairs. My painting table is situated in our study/library/computerroom, but it's just 100x60cm.
Anyway any further info about my (in)activity will be taking place in my resurrected blog. Don't want to distract from Peter's great work, with my gibberish.

That henchman is superb it really captures the feel of 40k the tatoo is brilliant and the axe brutal. I also like the gothic ornacy of the Crusader he looks great.

Area? I know it's bragging of the most despiteful kind, but I have a 60m² attic for modelling and storing stuff and a 20m² room as library/office/paintshop. The silly part of the story is, that it's no good, if it's not being used. So I'll need to stay focused on the bragging... ...at least until I get something done.
