I dont mind a few of the sons dying to actual attacks, but a ranged attack from over two kilometres away through pitch darkness that abscures radar from its sheer thickness and in leiu of attacking more threatening targets?

Regardless the C'tan will die at some point or there would be no point yu adding him to the game.

Of coarse, I've been planning this for awhile also you can't just form magical storm clouds that block everything, also the Sorcerer simply seeks entertainment. He could of killed the Chaos lord at any time but used others to do so. Also I doubt you'll quickly kill a C'tan.

and never said I would, but a good volley of bone lances should do it, a metre and a half of superheated plasmic bone ripping though the air at supersonic speeds should put a dent in that twits grin

Its the weapon I mentioned in the first post with the Ghosts in it, its a large tube like heavy weapon that fires the progectile that I described above, full info in the codex I created, think of like I said b4, an ap3 lascannon with the lance usr

I think it will take a bit more than a weapon of such status, we're talking about a god in physical form.

Angelus descended through a cloud layer and with the now lifting darkness he could see clearly his target. Below him his squad had spread out in a faint V, not to far down from his position, past them however and resting elegantly on the ground were several tau craft which he knew not the names of, but seemed to be tauting some serious firepower. No matter, the ghosts would deal with them. Across from those Tau vehicles he saw his goal, a large sulpted shrine was flickering with green energies. Angelus opened a quiet vox channel to his squad.

{Make your descent after I lead, dont give them time to open up, aim for the doorway, swoop in and then land, and after that, we can target the commander. And whatever lurks in that place. Those energies remind me of Kronus, and the Necrons there. Pray that they are not in this place for it could bode badly for our brothers in space if they were to encounter a Necron battleship. Not even the powers of the otherworld can protect from such a behemoth. Now make your descents.}

Angelus angled downwards and opened the throttle on his pack sending him spiralling down to the ground, his brothers followed him, silent for once, using speed and stealth to aid them in the evasion of the Tau's anti air batteries which were even now perking in thier harnesses. But to late. The Harbingers had already swept through the entranceway of the shrine and were clinging to the shadows. Completely invisible now with thier black cloaks wrapped around them. Outside the ghosts were driving their rhino's into sand dunes, using the raised points as cover as the vehicles literally sank into the sand and drove forwards becoming completely obcured by the dunes, and then the hulls of the tanks peeked out of the dunes thier forwards fire points manned by the Ghosts inside, priming thier heavy weapons to destroy the Tau vehicles.

A snake like being appears, it is black and it's head a foul bestial snarling face while it's body is lined with strange runes amd glyphs. It opened it's maw as atomic energy built up and fired at the shadows reducing one of the marines to nothingness while swiping at others with it's long bladed tail.

(I cannot stress just how fast the harbingers are. They would be like I10)

Angelus used his visr to cut away at the darkness and watched in mild disbelief as the creature tried to atomise one of his proud warriors, but the Harbinger saw the burst of energy charging and dived out of the way, easily clearing the blast, but the creatures tail impaled him bodily through the chest. Even then the Harbinger did not give up, hacking himself free from its tail with his sword. The creature gave a scream of fury and pain as the disruption blade shore straight through the hardened carapace of its tail and the tip was wrenched off, the marine tearing it free from his chest even as it began to heal. The creature did not give up however and its tail again slammed down on the marine smashing him intot eh ground with enough force that he was embedded into the smooth surface of the floor of the shrine.

Angelus had already issued his orders however and two of his warriors picked up the downed one and jetted him outside to the realitive saftey of the air, while the rest of his team spread out. They knew that killing such a beast would be near impossible with only thier blades, but the Ghosts were on the way, and they had a weapon designed almost purely for encounters with creatures like this, origionally developed for killing the largest of Tyranid bio constructs with single volleys.

Angelus heard Avis state calmly into the vox.
"Angelus, this creature, it is a C'tan!!, I am sure of it. Your earlier assumptions of Necron activity were correct. This will be no easy battle."
Angelus made a hum of agreement and carefully circled the beast, it seemed to be surveying them with as much delicacy as a creature of such monstrous proportions could. Clearly wondering at their lack of souls.

"The C'tan is unsure of us, it surely does not see us as a threat and is having trouble determining wether it should even kill us, soulless as we are. The beast is having some kind of internal debate look at it thrash.

Indeed the C'tan's tail was smashing agains the smooth interior of the shrine in its consternation the C'tan was quite unsure of its pah forwards. The only creatures it had encountered before that hd no souls were the Necrontyr. And the harbingers with their streamlined armour that hugged their skeletal frames appeared almost like Necrontyr indeed. Angelus used this to his advantage and had the Harbingers cease thier movement. The C'tan looked them over and with its own great slithering gait exited the shrine without anouther thought. Angelus swiftly voxed thier brothers warning them to leave the C'tan alone, and to warn the Sons of Slaanesh of its presence. The information could then be used for what ever purpose the sons would use it for, Angelus mused. But the Screaming skulls would avoid conflict with this denizen. It was far too mighty for a conflict at this time.

Wait, so you're saying that the C'tan won't fight you because your armour looks vaguelly like Necrons?

And in all honesty I think you should try and stop arguing or whatever with the Gm, as he has created this woprld, and as much as we may not like it he also controls the C'tan when GS doesn't, and therefore I think he will say if he Star Serpent attacks or not...

Kais feels even more power coursing throughout his entire body, even his soul. His mind boils with rage at these Chaos scum who think they can defile his lords temples, and that they even think they can kill him.

His hands glow violent green, and atomic blasts soar away lightning fast , destroying all Chaos life around him, and reducing them to sheer dust.

You do realise the C'tan hate the Necrons or would, they reduced most of them to shards. I never said that Necrons were here, nor are they and I'll decide if it attacks or not, you aren't the GM. I am the GM, also I'm tired of this ghost warrior gak. Its obvious that you designed them to win against all foes, and the entire concept is ridiculously op.so no unless you lower their power and explain everything to me. But for now;

The Star Serpent laughs and fires its atomic beam, several of the warriors are reduced to nothing as the C'tan easily see's through the flase image and fires a bolt that sends the Shadow crashing into the walland shattering his back pack.....

OOC: Emmm... blood reaper you are the Serpent Shard (lightgreen text). I am the Star Serpent, which hasn't actually arrived on the planet yet. It is the weaker (but still insanely powerful) C'tan Shard which was awoken by the Tau that you have control of!

Ah, thanks for clearing that up.

OOC: C'tan Shards have the ability to send their victims hurtling through time... which causes their targets to disintegrate... hehehe! I'm looking forwards to the Star Serpent's arrival in the next chapter! Two C'tan Shards traipsing around will be fun!

Yeah, it also seems that Marta Ghost marines are about to get busted get it? You know because of the film Ghost Busters how caught ghosts and since he's using ghosts they will be busted? Get it? No? Aw....

Angelus feels no fear, he never has done, as an astartes its not possible, as an undead one, even less so. He sees the C'an and knows his time has come however, even if he tried to flee that thing would decimate him, not that it matters, he can die here and his brothers can bring him back elsewhere. He depresses the vox key on his transmitter.

The Star God smiled, it was pleased but it knew where it was needed. The Tau, such valuable servants had to be rewarded and it knew how to do so. It teleported to the Tau position and watched as the species bowed in union to its presence;
