what are the painting requirements for this tourny? i have a couple people interested but they are int the middle of putting new armies together.

Fully painted and based to win the Overall prizes and the Best army prize. But its not required to play. Its also factored into your over all score slightly. Bring them down though, the more the merrier.

It's totally okay to bring unprimed models. No one will even blink. The culture is really easy going on paint, that is, you don't have to have any.

You should be sure to come & bring your buddies, if nothing else but to see the spectacle of watching me try play 3 games, with no sleep the night before. Find out why on Saturday.

Im planning to attend this time. Nov 9th. Bakersfield isnt too far away. Lets see if my buddies can tag along.

I will let my Storm Raven shine a light on my marines and make them glow yellow. I'll need it considering the competition, yah, that's you Mike. I have to get a display board going now, thanks a lot Mike, just raise the bar. What's next, video feed and Bose audio? Oh crap, did I just give you an idea?

Way ahead of you on that front. I just purchased my portable battery ran speaker and got a new MP3 player. So yeah my display board will have audio as well as my games.

That was fun. Another great RTT Travis. I noticed that the allies list did not do as wll as we all expected. Of course, match ups have a lot to do with that. John and Mike went head to head, that leveled the stats. I had an intense final game against Austin. His psyker actually double crossed him and choose to deep strike off the objective, damn Ork mutant. The Storm Raven being chased by a Dakka Jet, which was being chased by a Storm Talon, for two turns, EPIC! Thank you Austin for a great game which will be remembered for sometime. The new 'nid army that Kirk brought was worth the painting award. I think the painting at GE is about as high as I have ever seen I makes the games really fun and exciting.

Thank you everyone that came. You guys have made GE RTTs a awesome event. I am really looking forward to next month.

HOLY CRAP! The kill team tournament was amazingly fun! Any one who hasnt tried it out is really missing out. I hope this becomes a staple of the Game Empire events calendar.

Im already planning on a even sillier ork list with some lootas. Or maybe a trukk.

I second that. GE use to do Mini RTTs, but these Kill teams are really way better. I thought the single scenario was going to be an issue, but that was not even a factor. Of course, it helps to have really great people show up too. The game Casey and I had was epic. The loss to Mike was so intense, latter games proves to me how available his two wound nobs were, but they really are t4, so psy-bolt psycannon shots made them stay in cover.

Not knowing the time left and not having a turn counter was my favorite. It really made the game a focus on strategy and tactics instead of a strange turn based focus.

if you were on the fence and didn't show up, you totally need to come to the next one. I hope GE has these at least once a quarter or even every other month. Thanks again to Travis for making awesome boards, keeping great records, and making the day easy and fun.

And next time Ill bring my trench network for a fun board as well as my Malfaux sewer system. Lets see your rhino drive around in that.

In addition every should be getting there lists ready for the RTT next weekend. My ork bikers are looking for some fresh kills and the artillery batteries are stocking extra lobba rounds.

Just a quick rules question, what is everyone's feelings on the Puretide Engram Neurochip and arriving from reserves?

For those unfamiliar with this item, it allows you to pick a special rule at the beginning of each movement phase, such as monster hunter, tank hunter, etc.

So the question is, since both reserves and the chip rule happen simultaniously, can a player choose one of the abilities as the unit arrives from reserve?

My bet is that the TO is gonna tell ya, that your Reserved Unit arrives ... and *next* turn, you can use a power from the P.E.N.chip.

Just like Psy-power Blessings, they won't be able to be cast/used 'cause you're not on the table to cast/use 'em at the beginning of the Move' phase.

Gotcha, makes sense, just wanted to know GE's stance on the subject since Tau has been without an updated FAQ since April...
