Early WIP of the next Deathguard squad. Going to outfit them with 2 blight launchers, 2 bolters and the champion with powerfist, plaguesword and plasma gun. They will be a midfield squad to support poxwalkers and hold objectives.

Nice Xmas haul. Still watching with interest. Looking forward to this coming year.

Bit late to the party, but excellent work on the rune priest.

Ooh nasty! There's something extra squicky about mutated nurgly flesh painted in completely regular skintones.

I like it!

Oh, and I've come up with a semi-expanded Shadow War idea and need some feedback! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/726439.page

Lastly I contribute to a blog too! http://objectivesecured.blogspot.co.uk/ Check it out! It's not just me

Mostly, on my phone.

Excellent contrast. Lovely and yucky.

Yellowbeard: "Shop 'smart', shop Graven-mart!"
Casey's Law: "Graven: Speaking the truth and providing the rofls since '09."
Solar_Lion: "Deep in the bowels of a forge world lies a machine so terrible and purposeful that its very existence is only rumor and myth. It never sleeps and always hungers. Never satiated. Always creating, always churning out more and more. Never satisfied. It’s purpose long forgotten. It only lives to build more and more of the truly insane. The Deus ex Gravenator. Your only hope is to die in your sleep so save the last bullet for you!"
cormadepanda: "You suffer from creator syndrome."
Theophony"... and there's strippers in terminator armor and lovecraftian shenanigans afoot." Solar_Lion: "Man this sums up your blog nicely."
Anpu-adom: "being Geek is about Love. Some love broadly. Some love deeply. And then there are people like Graven. :-)

Those came out beautifully Yorkright. Wow... really nice. So jealous of your Nurgle army! How many points do you have painted and ready to go? Do you have a battalion yet?

Thanks guys, I do love me some Nurgly party boys.

@Gitz, I can run a battalion with the last squad painted, 3 hQs, 3 troops, 1 elite, 2 fast and Mortarion. Comes to almost 1700 pts, if I add some of my "older" tanks (predator and rhino) it comes close to 2k. There is also a 20 man blob of Plaguebearers, 9 plaguedrones, and some nurglings I can add for extra slimey fun.

Should have the last squad finished and based tonight, will post pics if I can.

Thanks for following.

Your painting skills have really stepped up in the last year Yorkright. They look fantastic! I can't wait to get a chance to take them on should you ever get a chance to play 40k again! (poke, poke)

They're some really nice DG! If anything, they're almost too bright. Unless it is the light, I'd consider toning it down just a little, or even weathering it. That's up to you really, since I know some prefer cleaner DG.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!
