Mob maze puzzle room.

Strip off all armour, weapons and tools. Set a respawn point inside the center of the maze and then flood the arena, darkening everything totally and have the player try and get out.

Make the Walls Obsidian so Creeper's dont affect it?

Hey, I was thinking of making a pyramid made out of Netherrock on the Dakka server, and I wanted to know if it was ok.

I'm asking because I was thinking of setting it on fire afterwards, and I know fire is annoying, can burn down trees and can increase lag sometimes.

I was planning on building it near Shrikes holiday home, n0t_u's Arcadia and I think it was Frenchyvines condo house thingy, so I won't do anything without their say so. Or, I can just build it in the middle of the ocean (a different one, ie not directly above Arcadia.) Which ever is best for everyone.

Netherrack pyramids are fine by me as long as you don't set it on fire, fire causes insane lag when people go near it.

Has anyone got any tunnels/mine underneath my area?

I'm building a large underground area, want to make sure before I tick people off by digging into their bases/forts...

It is close to your winter lodge and my snowfort.

How close? My winter lodge's cave is fairly large...

It's not as huge as the caves under my main base or under the arctic base, but it's still sizable.

Someone stole my 18 diamonds, plus 20+ blue dye, a saddle and and almost an entire stack of iron.

Last time I was connected was this night, at around 2:30. Corpses, you're the last one I saw around my secret room. Did you close it when you left as I asked you?

Damn it this server sucks. Why can't we never trust anyone? I'm just gonna bury my resources somewhere. And BE WARNED. NO ONE is allowed near my new villa. NO ONE. That's it, if I ever see anyone near my house, I'm gonna throw my wolf pack at you (I've got more than 12 wolves by now). I'm even tempted to destroy my portal to isolate myself definitively.

EDIT: OH CRAP. This as$%/le also stole stole an entire stack of gunpowder. I advise everyone to really watch for their houses.

I did close it last night however when I came on in the morning there was another hole dug into the wall which I also sealed up.

At the time I asked if you had been on the server earlier that morning (legion zero and darkangel were online IIRC) as I wasn't sure if you had simply made the hole to access your stuff but nobody knew.

No I wasn't on at that time. Last time I was on, was when you were working on my secret room. So this hole was made by the griever.

I sealed the wall and logged off shortly after you left.

I just logged in and I was dead :S

I logged off inside vinnies house on the second floor with full health that is really weird, caused me to lose the stuff dark replaced last night.

Maybe the server logs might help. How many folks in total were online between when you logged out and corpses logged in? Anyone that seemed to stay around until the server was emptier? Any recurring names in particular that log in around the time your stuff seems to go missing?

I've decided against doing the Netherrack pyramid on the dakka server, as I made it on a friends server instead.

I had to decorate the outside of it as it looked like a giant fire and I don't feel it's completely done yet, and I still need to work on the interior. I'll take some screen shots of it then

We know they were online between 2am and 2pm gmt.

It is unlikely they are an established player and it is more likely they were online when we were talking about the room between 12 and 2am.

Also, is there anything in-game to indicate a server admin as a server admin? My thoughts are - what if Lego made a small secret police? Next time he selects a couple folks to be admins, don't announce it. Keep it a secret. A Greifer is far less likely to greif if he -knows- an admin is online. But if he doesn't, then that'd make it far easier to track him through the logs.

Well, I remember that dark and masterfett were on towards that time because they were sometimes chatting with us. But other people might have been on. But the log on listing doesn't go back that much in time.

I agree completely. It would really cut down on griefing, and even if it doesn't, we'll be more likely of catching them.

I agree as well. Easier to catch and execute them that way.

Server seems to have crashed, though might not have. Just can't connect at the moment.

There is a crudely built frame there at the moment, that will soon be housing a great big bell (once I grow balls big enough to go spelunking properly, alone...)

Will be a lair underneath, not sure how big it will get though I'm afraid (not huge, I know that)

I reckon anyone caught griefing should be summarily executed on site before being whitelisted,
a- to get the items
b- to make a point
c- because it's fun

That would require their co-operation (coming online and staying for you to do so), which is unlikely. I'm looking through the logs now.

Also having a "secret" admin would change nothing. The world is massive and without some sort of player viewer it's just as hard to monitor potential griefing online than off.
