personally i would like to see the chief taking the fight to the covonent fighting the rebels and maybye link up with the SPARTANS in the centre of Onyx

Please just be like Halo 3. enough of this Reach armor permutations. Reach feels too much like Call of Duty. Hopefully 343i can return Halo to its glory.

A good story and long campaign?

Multiplayer maps which have all the forge items enabled rather than having almost all of them only having things like crates etc allowed.

A drop in and drop out coop campaign. Perhaps some kind of persistent large scale online campaign battle. Campaign playable as vs?

Well at one point the two races did coexist, although it remains unclear whether the forerunners created humans. Even the forerunners that were alive at the time of the Halo firing didn't know the answer (AFAIK).

If they did have forerunners they should be horrible inbred scum. Determined to keep the line pure they refused to emerge when the flood went dormant. They didnt want to interbreed with the reclaimers they had created (?) for just that purpose. Their iain m banks 'Minds' have also long since abandoned them.

Your crash landing on their planet thingy is seen as an act of war, an attempt to usurp them by their upstart creations. When you/cortana tries to explain you mean no harm they cite the fact you are covered in flood germs. Also the fact you are some cyernetic weaponised butchery rather than human.

After a botched execution, and a first hand look at their plans to destroy humanity (they capture a mining vessel and do horrible things to the 1000+ humans inside: Weird stuff...... Butt stuff). You decide to redirect the last of the flood into the planet thingy so they can 'finish the fight' on the forerunners. Then naturally blow it up.

The flood should only really be an 'easter egg' for possibly just the last level, and they would be on your side. As the gravemind is possibly too diffuse or dead you simply appeal to their sense of revenge.

Done.

Gameplay: I think you should be able to sprint, and i dont see anything wrong with some directed thrust powered zero g fights. Dont really see the need for Gadgets or Armor abilities, apart from lock, that could be very cool if done right.

I think forerunner weaponry could be good, as long as they avoid the lame sentinel beam. I was always fond of the gauss hog so maybe have their weapons gauss based, with a side helping of eldar shuriken. (Necromorphs are essentially flood after all )

Forerunners should be quite feral and agile, akin to the enemies in Rage. Though obviously still have a good variety of distinct enemies, would recommend an unashamed ripoff of the 'Serapede' from GOWIII as it NEEDS to be in a halo game. Also an emphasis on Mass effect style 'barrier' (bezerker adrenaline)/armour/shield busting.

I want it released on PC.

Also to be able to play a female main character.

I'm going to say that this is going to be a Flood heavy game and I would like to see more of Gravemind.

There will be usable Forerunner vehicles. Sentinels are gonna make a big appearence. Human guns will be incorperating covy tech. It's 2 years after halo 3 (if memory serves me right).

While I have to agree that Halo 4 will almost certainly be Xbox exclusive and have only the Master Chief playable, you might have better luck with whatever it is Bungie does next. After all, Reach had a female character option, and they're going multi-platform now, so a PC release is more likely (though still far from certain).

I want to fly Pelicans on almost all maps, being able to fly over and pick up marines, I want moreee space battles like halo reach. I want more armor customization. I want the halo 3 ranking system not reaches. I want to be able to even offline able to get all of the armor. And still getting points to unlock stuff but not for ranking.
I want forge firefight areas.

I want to deepen everything that made Reach special. Armor abilities (I know, I know), I do slightly want weapon customization, more armor customization, more epic-ness and epic battles.

Yes!!! No more COD style ranking please. Seems to be the trend with most major games nowadays. I like it but hate it at the same time knowing that some one who has nothing better to do than play games all day in their moms basement is a higher rank than me. Not to gloat, but I am a fairly awesome player and I don't need some 10 yr old telling me how better he is than I cause he's a Nova and Im only a Hero. But I digress, I suppose thats what 1 on 1 custom games are for....

I wants to blast me some 'umies too, but I think someone or a group of someones at bungie absolutely does not like the idea of the player shooting AI controlled humans, so I doubt we'll see this.

Also, I'd be kind of glad when it's all over. ODST (probably my favorite out of all of them) started to drag towards the end, and I couldn't even go a couple levels into reach before I just stopped from utter boredom. It's like the call of duty series all over again. More games, less change.

-Get rid of armour abilities (except sprint/evade) or make them only accessible as temporary power ups.
-Keep the current shield system (no carryover damage) and recticle bloom.
-BR instead of DMR.
-Keep Halo 1 style pistol.
-No "Target Tracking".
-Matchmaking divided up according to rank (so as not to have ---the newbies thrown in with the veterans).
-Halo 3 movement settings.

As far as the campaign is concerned, anything which sheds light on the forerunners is fine.

IIRC from halo legends it suggests that the forrunners took the humans with many other species and places them into the shield worlds while the fired the halo rings then brought them out of the shield worlds and released them to carry on with their natural evolution and the humans were one of these races (as with all the covonant races)

Yeah I know, it'll suck.

Same voice cast for Chief and Cortana, other than, don't care, they could be taking on space Bunnies on a magic hopper and I'd buy it.

Just hope 343 don't mess it up, however with the number of ex-bungie staff there, it should be in safe hands.
