Hi!
Stumbled on this site after some random searches for some of my old models and decided to join up and poke my oar in occasionally.... And as the title says, I keep being told (mainly by the wife...!) I'm too old for this, butnever did listen much!
Be rude not to tell you a bit about me, at least my gaming anyway so here goes...
Live in Bonnie Scotland, and played both WH40k and WFB since the early days of the 1st edition rules ( still have both somewhere...!). After a good 10-15 yr break I'm now back getting involved and started a new chaos warriors army, and have been selling off some of my mountainof little used old stuff to pay for it... Along with buying stuff for an Eldar craftworld force, and DKOK! In fact probably buying more than I'm selling!!!
Interested to see the galleries and armies for inspiration and motivation, as my painting time is strictly limited!
Hope no-one minds if I let you know from time to time what I'm selling and what I'm
looking out for!

Hails, Graybeard! Welcome to Dakka! Always enjoy seeing folks come back to the hobby. Took a 10 year break myself, just got back in Nov '09. Really hoping you have some of your old stuff still kicking around, would love to see it! If you feel like it, post some on the Old Miniatures thread. Yes, shameless promotion of my thread, but I really hope it becomes a "community" project with people displaying their ancient treasures.
Dakka is a really cool place. Hope you enjoy it here.

Greybeard is right! I'm old enough to know better...! Just turned 39, so definitely long in the fang, verging on the living ancestor.
Have got hundreds of old figures in various conditions, spread between my house and my mums attic in numerous boxes, so I'll definitely be giving the Old Miniatures thread a look, and hopefully adding some posts and pics.
Thanks again for making me welcome to the Dakka community ( sorry, using my iPhone not my pc so not worked out all the posting edits on it...)

Some of the old ones wil have to go to make room for the Chaos that is currently dragging my house into a swirling maelstrom of carnage... So I'll be taking advantage of the trade threads, keep your eyes open! Lots of early eighties pre-slotta stuff hiding away. That said, I do find it difficult to part with a lot of them!
Anything anyone's looking for you never know, i might have it ;0)

Like they say your never too old but there are always more miniatures that need to be bought (Gotta catch em all!).
You only have a few years on me old timer which makes you fairly young, so join in the fun and try not to make too many on the young'uns cry.
There are few Scots kicking aboot here too so you should be able to find some opponents too if you feel so inclined.

#wuestenfux - work, wife, children, rugby... Too many things to do and no time to do it! Used to be I had plenty of time and no money to buy miniatures, now I can afford to buy them and struggle to find the time to paint them!
I always liked the Eldar, have part of a 1st edition army still hiding somewhere... And the DKOK are just cool!
Mainly trying to concentrate on a WOC WFB army just now, but bought too much and a bit swamped...! Temptation too much...
