I'm sorry, I don't quite get what you mean. You asked them to create a character from a Codex they don't play with? Why, are you looking to see what they'd expect and how best to exploit that?

Also your descriptions are pretty hard to understand for me, a long-time Tau player, so non Tau people won't have a chance. I'd suggest you write them out in full with a brief description of their strengths and weaknesses - along with what you're hoping to get from the exercise.

Then the forum users can hopefully help out and contribute!

I honestly don't know what you're even trying to ask here.

And the wargear abbreviations are confusing. I have no clue what an es, si, or ia is.

Yeahhhh my friends used to stick with tau, and I played him a bit, but I can't read that wall of acronyms.

To translate:

pr = plasma rifle
mp = missile pods
ta = targeting array
mt = mutli tracker
hw = hard wired
dc = drone controller
sd = shield drone
si = stimulant injectors
ia = iridium armor
bsf = black sun filter
fsd = bsf, cause he can't type
afp = airbursting fragmentation projector
bc = burst cannot
sg = shield generator

But all in all the OP posted what tau commanders people made and that only one of those actually played the army, as such it doesn't belong in this section unless he asked what use the commanders would be on the battlefield.

This is just incredibly rude, frankly racist and uncalled for.

To translate I think he means:

My commander: Shas'El
Missile Pod, Plasma Rifle, Targetting Array, Hard-wired Multi Tracker.

Missile Pod, Plasma Rifle, Targetting Array, Multi Tracker, Hard-wired Drone Controller, 2x Shield Drones Stimulant Injector, Iridium Armour (commander shieldwall).

And the tau noobies:
Shas'O
Airbursting Fragmentation Projecter, Burst Cannon, Shield Generator, Hard-wired Multi Tracker, Hard-Wired Black Sun Filter, Ejection System, Stimulant Injectors.
196

Shas'El
Twin-Linked Missile Pod, Flamer, Hard-wired Target Lock, Hard-wired Multi Tracker, Hard-wired Black Sun Filter.

Shas'O
Airbursting Fragmentation Projecter, Cyclic Ion Blaster, Hard-wired Multi Tracker, Hard-wired Drone Controller, 2x Shield Drones, Stimulant Injector.

I assume this was meant to have a Hardwired Multi-Tracker, as an XV8 only has 3 hardpoints.. Also the Targetting Array must be a mistake as a Shas'o already has BS5 and a TA can't up it further. Following the style of the overpriced bullet magnet Fireknife, a Shield Generator would fit better.

The rest seem to be a general overloading of commanders that lots of people who aren't overly familiar with the codex do and strangely enough a relatively well constructed Deathrain+ ( Shas'El Twin-Linked Missile Pod, Flamer, Hard-wired Target Lock, Hard-wired Multi Tracker, Hard-wired Black Sun Filter. 85 )

That said, I'm ultimately confused as to the point of your initial post.

Using abbreviations is totally cool, but having 80% of your post in abbreviations that dont trigger a definition pop up is a good way to confuse and put off viewers.
