Once again proving that the undignified scrum they encourage with every release is a choice.

It's more likely that the Print on Demand service GW uses requires a threshold of orders to be viable/profitable. So GW has to estimate demand and if they think a title won't hit that threshold, the don't use it.
At the same time the also likely don't want too many products under "print on demand/cast on demand" because that can lead to a mounting issue of cashflow/product flow issues. It can also spike complaints and customer support upkeep if you've a lot of stuff outstanding.

Then there's the fact that this was originally just a signed book release that clearly showed a vastly bigger cry for print copies; so GW has likely adapted to that to provide both as print on demand - which is pretty generous as they could have just done the regular on demand and kept the deluxe on a limited run

Personally I hope they get LOADS of orders. As GW keeps stuff in house they've a fantastic selection of backpublications and I'd love to see them do more. The Inferno books I got are great prints of something that I never got at the time and which are fantastic to now own. I'd love to see them do it for even more books.

Would it be fair to say you don't really have any knowledge of commercial print processes and this is all a guess?

How come this guy is 3rd Company, when it's the 5th who were deployed to #New 40K Armageddon?

Is it the coloured Bloodquest debacle again, or did the Blood Angels actually sent TWO Companies (plus support) back across the almost impassable Great Rift despite everything they have going on in Imperium Nihilus?

Artistic license. The same reason Titans are depicted as hundreds of meters tall.

Worrying about it will make you prematurely grey.

Either they dont care or nobody told the artist. Perhaps you could say the colours of the companies is something that might be confusing to new players. Or maybe its all 3 mixed.

A clever rouse to make the orks think they have more marines than they do.

Deception is the heart of war
