I've been putting together my assault marines and I can't seem to get them to stay standing very well, the glue has set in but they're leaning something fierce. Any ideas on giving them a leg to stand on (see what I did there?)

I think you best bet would be to pin them so it has something solid to support them.

I've heard of pinning tbh but I have no idea what it entails. Would using superglue help at all?

Dont glue the back wheel to the frame! let it fit in and you can do a wheelie when you are gaming with your bikes(and it makes painting a lot easier!

Excuse me but that answer is just dumb, especially for a question that has been answered...

Actually it isn't a dumb answer. Its the same technique I use if one of my assembled/ painted marines falls off of their base for some reason. Considering I have done this on about 15 of my 40 assault marines it is a very good idea.

Pin them.
Here is what pinning entails (or at least how I do it)
Get a pin vice, and some 18 guage metal wire (not insulated or anything, just bare metal). Get a drill bit slightly larger than the wire (not sure what size I use, could check, but at work :(
Drill a hole into the foot. Super glue wire in the hole you drilled. Cut wire about 1/8-1/4" of an inch from the foot (leaving a little bit of wire sticking out of the foot).
Drill a hole in the base. Stick some glue on the top if the wire, and stick it in the hole (sexy times). Don't forget to also put glue on the foot.
This will hold it reeeeeeeeeeal well.

If you don't find pinning sexy, then I contend that you are not a man.

Haha I just laughed loud in the middle of class that was great When I pin I just use the GW pin vice and then just use a normal paper clip as the metal, no need to spend more money on the same thing.

I don't have alot of options for the pinning game yet. I JUST started this army and I have 40 assault marines with 10 DC to go and I'm GOING to have to look in to pinning for sure.

I recommend pinning it will help keep everything in place much better. Also Lonely island is the bomb.

I tried pinning my boss once. That didn't work out too well in the end. I suppose I should try to find something on-topic to add. Umm. Yeah, pinning generally works really well for minis, and paperclips work just fine for pinning. What were you using to glue before you asked? Superglue will certainly set quickly, but gets fairly brittle after that and, especially on small contact points like assault marine feet, can be very easy to snap off. Plastic glue takes a lot longer to set, so propping up an unbalanced mini really isn't a bad idea, but the bond is a lot more permanent since the two plastic pieces fuse together. If they're still unbalanced after that, you could always try weighting your minis on the bottom. I've heard of people weighting with anything from molten lead, shot, washers, to small coins.
